[BY DESIGN] NPC's don't react appropriately to Sims they dislike

I have an evil Sim, so have been bombarding random NPC's that are wandering by the house with a long string of negative interactions, like insult, fight, etc. They will react to the negative interaction during that moment, but no matter how "in the red" their opinion gets toward me, they still immediately continue on with trying to have a pleasant coversation, smiling as if nothing had happened (even though their mood is "angry"). This even happens after I've gotten into a physical fight with them. Additionally, even after declaring them an "enemy", I always get a notification after I leave the NPC that says something along the lines of "thanks for hanging out with me, but I have to go now." That doesn't sound like something someone that hates me should be saying...

Forgot to add: I have Windows 7, no mods or cc, and am using a disk copy of the premium edition.

So the part about receiving a TNS that says "thanks for coming by" is by design. We don't have any way to vary that text for different situations, and it's just meant to be a generic kind of "see ya".

The other stuff sounds like potential issues, but I cannot reproduce it currently. I just had my Sim get in a fight with another Sim walking by my house, and the other Sim's only attempted interactions with me, after the fight, were to Yell At me. Twice. And then they stalked off. Even their idle animations, while Yelling at me, had turned angry and hunched over.

Another Sim I tried to fight ended up beating my Sim up, and gained the Confident mood, and then starting talking to me about a Rumor immediately afterwards. Kinda weird, but I believe this sort of situation is also by design. They were Confident, not Angry. Their idle animations, in between me trying to Yell at them over and over, were also relaxed/pleasant, but this again appeared to be because the NPC was Confident, not Angry. Actual Angry Sims are behaving angrily for me.

If anyone's still seeing any issues it would be great if you could share a save file with me, thank you much!

  • Also seems to be true with married couples having an unfaithful partner. The partner of the cheater will bear no grudge to the sims who the cheater is having an affair with, even if Romance interactions occur in front of the cheated. (Sorry, it's early morning and I'm currently absorbing coffee.. so that vocabulary was rather limited.) The three sims may then even continue with their happy conversations and jokes.

    is there any temporary solution?

like "some mod can fix this issue!"

or "i used this cheat once then it fixed" (even for a while)

Oh, this issue is fixed by update, just yesterday!

  • After making an enemy or two, my sim still seems to react in the same way as always unless I'm missing something, I'll keep an eye and report back after a few hours of gameplay.

Thank you @SimGuruNick for the insight.

I'm going to mark this as by design for now unless @shepherdmoon can provide further info

Maybe it would be good to post about this in the feedback forum over at the officials cause I kinda don't like it either.

It's like: I will engage in a friendly chat with you although I hate your guts and you hate mine (although there's always an occasion where that might happen, if the surrounding asks for it, if I randomly meet my enemy in the park, I think he would actually MAKE me angry rather than make me engage in a friendly conversation with them.
