Yeah I agree that this sounds by design/feedback, especially if it has always worked this way.

@SqueamishNerd Do they still have the halo ? Seems very connected to this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/TO-ADD-Holiday-Gnomes-keep-spawning-seed-packets/td-p/6983079/ although I think I never seen the old ones move on the next harvestfest.

Been canceling them all for a while now though

@crinrict Yes, the already owned ones get a halo or fire if appeased, but they start to move around even if I don’t appease them. The halo or fire will disappear when Harvestfest ends.

@SqueamishNerd But you do also have the keep seed pack spawning if not put in inventory ?

This sounds like the default intended behaviour I’ve seen since I’ve had Seasons. There is no such thing as special harvestfest-only gnomes. Any gnomes you have will all be active during a holiday with gnome tradition. If you already have gnomes, it will use those, and if you don’t have any or enough it will spawn some.

@simvasion I can see why, since it might be hard to implement the gnomes to act differently depending on if they were bought or spawned, so I guess it’s more of an oversight rather than a bug. Not sure though, that’s why I made a bug report. But it’s a bummer if it’s an oversight or by design, because the only times I put gnomes on a lot is to put them on a very specific spot, using the Alt key, because I put them in the garden and I want them to look more natural than to just put them on the grid. 😆

@crinrictSeed packs only spawn during Harvestfest, so the problem is only that the already owned gnomes start to move around so that I have to put them back when Harvestfest is over. It’s annoying because the only times I buy gnomes I don’t put them on the grid, I use the Alt key to put them at very specific spots or to turn them to very specific directions, and sometimes I raise them (Ctrl Shift 9) to look like they’re standing on stones or such, so that it looks more natural, but then Harvestfest comes and I have to put them back afterwards. 🙄

@SqueamishNerd This is by design in the game. If you don't have 3 gnomes on the lot, the game generates the number of gnomes until it reaches 3 gnomes.

I don't think this is a glitch. It has always happened to me since Seasons launched. All gnomes on the lot, and any new gnomes, all become active on Harvestfest.
