THIS is happening to me! Exact same. And no, it DOES NOT appear in my Sims inventory. It just completely disappears. I had to use cheats to age up my sim at her brithday party, which was lame. I took out all my mods and tried again, same thing. I'm completely up-to-date and and have everything except Batuu, Paranormal, and a few kits.

Yes. I've done both. Actually, I always delete my thumbnail at the end of every gameplay. But I have also repaired my game twice since the new update and also created a Folder Refresh due to an annoying bug with an old save.

Can confirm. This is happening in my game too. Same exact thing. I can't get them to add birthday candles because if I try to drag it, it disappears. If i have them put it in their inventory and then I try to drag it, it just snaps right back into the inventory. If I try to move it in build mode, it disappears. This is definitely a bug.Edit: It doesn't seem to happen with the hamburger cake. I haven't tried a white cake yet, but it happens consistently with the chocolate.

Still having this issue. The cake disappears when I try to move it and often goes into the household inventory with debug cheats on, but when I take it out of the household inventory it turns into an empty plate. It's impossible to have a functioning birthday party when I can't move the cake to open places.

Check their inventory, it's in there.

Hey! Here's a save where this is happening for me. Inside, there's a freshly made strawberry cake on the floor, alongside a famous mom & her ready to age up toddler but I cant drag the cake without it disappearing into the household inventory...only place I can get it to stay is on the floor. The save is the only one in this saves folder. Let me know if there's any other way I can help. 🙂

We tried with the save you shared and we are able to drag the cake to the inventory, put it in inventory, and also can keep it in the household inventory.

Hey! Ok so I reset the game after I posted that & it fixed it. The cake was disappearing to the household inventory when I was trying to drag it to different surfaces, like from the counter to the table. When I would hold the cake to drag it from surface to surface, the cake would show as an empty plate, except when I found a spot to put it on the floor. When I would release the hold with the cake, centered or otherwise, on the surface, the cake went to the inventory. However, on the floor, when I found a spot I could sit the cake, I knew it because the cake would show as on the plate. Unfortunately, I didn't think to record it. But all is well again... for now haha. Thanks for taking a look though. I appreciate it 🙂

@DrippySojo45 Having this issue still, cakes pop into household inventory. The cake “appears” in red when I drag it over the floor but disappears when in green on any counter or surface (even though if the sim puts it anywhere it appears, obvs they don’t put it in “the middle” so I can put candles though)

I don't think you're going to be able to find a save to help diagnose this issue. I have it happen fairly often, and the best workaround I've found for it is actually restarting the game. The cake usually functions as expected after a restart. (As a side note, anyone who also has this issue might try restarting the game as a workaround and seeing if that fixes the cake.)
