Can't buy a wedding cake in tartosa

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I try to buy stuff from the vendors in Tartosa but the thing they are supposed to sell does not have an option. They only sell Crops. No weddingcakes or flowers.
What happens when the bug occurs? I only se the option to buy crops and haggle, when I want to buy a weddingcake.
What do you expect to see? an option to buy flowers or weddingcakes for my weddings.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have had the problem sins my wedding stories. But I don't use this funktion a lot so the problem can have been there before that. Some times it affects vendors in Sun Mychuno to.

@LirraFlirra This is usually a mod issue.

Did you delete the localthumbcache after removing your mods/CC ?

Is your mods folder empty except resource.cfg

I have tried it with and without mods in my mods folder. Latest I did a 50/50 test of the mods and it ended with zero mods in the mods folder and the bug still occurs in the game. So the problem must have to do with the game.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I have followed the directions to reset the game trough making an update folder of the sims 4 folder. Then I put the saves back in the Sims 4 folder from the backup folder. And if I the use an old save file the error occur again but if I create a new game it works like it should . So maybe it is a problem in my save files. But how do I know witch one is the problem and if I want to fix a save file to be able to keep playing with the same household how do I do that. Is it enough to save the family to the library and start a new save with them. Please help.

I'm sorry but how do I know witch save file is witch? Or do you want the whole save files folder?
I have tried to make a test save and first it didn't work. Then I contacted Answers HQ, I got your reply, I followed it and the test save still didn't work but then I tried to save that household to a new save. Then it finally works so I have started to put folder after folder in the new Sims 4 folder like you told me to. I have now started on the mods folder and puts the mods in the game in Alfabetical order. I have them ordered after creators name and every creator has their own folder. Now I hav gotten to the letter g And the game still works. The problem that remains with my main save, It is a legacy challenge and I have played with several families and with the friends and a lot of different lots. So it is kind of a problem to save all that to the gallery. Is there any way this can be done? Or do you still think I should send you my save?

I tested your save and have no issues buying a cake on that save you mentioned.

After removing all mods, did you just put that save back and it still didn't work ?

@crinrict I will now try to remove my mods again and try this again. Maybe I made a mixup of the savefiles. Just give me some more time.

And now I have troubles to take out the mods from two creators. Around the sims 4 and Sentate. My PC tells me these folders are in use even if I just started the pc and have not had the game running

I solved the mod problem with the mods being in use. I soved it my self but now it is issues with starting the game in the new EA program. The game don't want to start due to some tecnical issues it tell me to start the game later.

This is what the EA app tells me when I click on the game in the app. And before that the app tell me it takes longer than normal to start the game and it want me to give it time to fix the problem. and now the ea app say the game is loading but it never starts. Oh this darn game!

I restarted the pc and when it started again and I started the game the game started updating the game so the latest problem seem to be fixed. Sorry for all the messages.
