Can't plan birthday party as no one is eligible (non-vamp)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.375.1020 (64 Bit)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Vampires is the only expansion I have.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When going to plan a birthday states ‘No one in this household is having their birthday today.’ but there is a sim with a birthday.
What happens when the bug occurs? Not able to throw a birthday party for my sims.
What do you expect to see? Birthday party planned.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Unable to have birthday party for my sims. When clicking through to get to the arrow to choose the guests and location it states ‘No sims in this household have a birthday today.’ I attempt to plan early and on the day of. Please help!

    Hi crinrict,

    Thank you for such a speedy response, I really appreciate it! 

    In typical sims fashion, as soon as I made this post, I went to play a different save game, before returning to my save game with the issue I had outlined, only to find the issue no longer a problem. 

    Apologies for the possible wasting of your time but thank you again for your willingness to help. 🙂

    Hello,

    I don't see that any further advice was given for a while so I thought I'd share this. I too have come across this issue (but I play on PS4), however, I have resolved the issue! The sentence, "There is no sim with a birthday in this household today" is actually stating there is no sim IN the household with a birthday. For example, Sim mom was home while the sim kids were at school, it wouldn't let me add a birthday party to the calendar for my oldest. But once she returned from school IT WORKED! This means in order to schedule a birthday party for a specific sim, he or she must be present (in the house, not away). I hope this works for everyone else.

    @KtLyn129 I came across this exact same problem, yes I was thinking an other bug from EA, not surprising. but to be fair I solved it and they weren't guilty this time, I had to back track to see what did I do from the moment that bug shown itself, playing two family, only the vamp had this. deleted the kid, no results. moved the family again no result, , but I had add a new mansion (beautiful and really full of content 64 x64 ) that was the problem, once I removed it and move the family back to a different home the bug was resolved, I can only assume that the amount of move object code done, the size was creating the bug it was mansion superstar
