When my Sim goes to Uni, I have them take notes in class, do their homework, do their final paper/presentation to outstanding quality, and have them study all the time, but they still fail their classes. I get pop ups after class saying my sims did the "bare minimum", and when they email the professors the pop up says they're failing. Sometimes, the professor pop up will say the Sim is doing well, and then the Sim somehow still fails the class(es). I am sending my Sims to class with full needs. I am not sure how I am doing all of this and my Sim receives D's and F's.What do you expect to see? Had them do their homework when available to do so, study until I get the moodlet from studying, go to class on time in a good mood, have them take notes in class, and have them complete and turn in their term papers and presentations with Outstanding quality. I email the professors, and the pop up says they are not doing well in the class. In the end, my Sim gets D's and F's. I tried this on 2 different families, and it was the same issue.I understand that this bug was "fixed" in a July patch, but I am still having this issue. I am not sure why I am having this issue if the bug was "fixed". This kind of makes one of my favorite expansions unplayable and I don't want to play the game because of how annoying and time-wasting this bug is.All of my mods and cc are up to date as well as my game.

This is happening to me as well. How can they still have this issue for the bug that was over a year ago?My YA goes to all her classes, does her homework on time, takes notes, did her presentation and term papers with no cheating or plagiarising, and came out with MOSTLY D's!!! now she's suspended. I worked so hard on her and this is such a letdown.

i did it by checking them one by one, for me, the issue as in roburky's "meaningful stories", i removed it and now my sims normally get good grades on uni.

May I add my 2 cents?If you create a character from scratch without any kind of skills and immediately have they enroll in college, they will have a harder time receiving high grades because the subjects are tied to skills. The more a skill is developed, prior to college enrollment, the better chance you will have of getting high grades. Unfortunately, homework and term papers alone are not enough.To give an example, if you want to take cooking classes, you better develop the attached skill and also some mixology, prior to entering college.

I am having the same issue and the issue is new for me. It has only happened with one character so far, a high school student that graduated early then went to college early (before she was a young adult), so not sure if it is specific to this character's situation or not. I did not have this issue with any characters using University prior to installing the High School pack. Is this a known issue?

@xochiquetzl_xkvn Yes, I've read about the work tone thing here and I do that now, but everything stays the same (same notification etc). And I make sure she's on time always.

@dovah400 Cheating the skill lower might be worth a try, though not sure if it would work after enrollment or not. I don't skill grind Sims usually, and definitely not if I'll be sending them to university for the same skill - because the time spent in university is mainly good for raising skills. If my Sim has already maxed something, I either don't take them to university or I have them major in something else. It's also possible that there's some other bug in grading - many people have reported that they attend classes, do all the work, raise their skill, and still always fail - but I have never experienced that myself, so can't say what might cause or fix it. All I can say is that in my game and with the way I play, they only fail if they skip class or don't do (or cheat on) a final. But my Sims also always start with low skill and try to split class time between actively listening and taking notes, and do as much of the homework as they can. I also tend to have them attend from home, as I got tired of dealing with how long it takes them to walk across campus to get to class. I have had Sims fail when they lived on campus and accidentally skipped class because even though I sent them before it started they didn't arrive until it was over!

My Sims are both in the next term now. Sim A got probation and a 4-, Sim B got a 1+ (which is like an F (4-) and an A+(1+) in the US system afaik). Luckily I found out that it's possible to cheat the probation away and to change the grades easily, but I have about zero motivation to replay this pack with other Sims in the future.
Sim A now needs the Rocket Science skill for 2 of her classes which was on lvl 7 for her, so she was able to improve it, but she still gets the same notifications no matter what, so I think it's the bug.
@PipMenace Yes, when they live on campus they easily accidently skip classes. On the first day they "went to class early" to stand there for 5 sim minutes and then went away to do something else, which is why I disabled autonomy for now.
So I can work around/cheat around these issues for now, but it's a lot less fun for sure. Anyway - thank you for your suggestions!

Keep failing college courses even though all home work complete attending classes (taking notes actively listening) final presentations and term papers submitted…..

Today is June 2nd, 2024. I just bought discover university a week ago today and no matter how much my sim studies or how fast she gets her presentations or papers turned in, it ALWAYS says they're doing the bare minimum and end up failing. This happens no matter if I have my CC turned on or not. I just want to play the pack I paid to play. I check for EA app updates several times a day.

Is your sim arriving at class on time? "On time" for university classes is within only about 15min of the start time of class, not an hour like careers or grade school.
Does your sim have at least a few skill points in the skill that the class teaches?
