[FIXED] Bestselling Author - Can't read the book in Library

The second goal is to read a book at the library.  I've read and completed new books, both upstairs and downstairs.  I've reread books I've already completed.  Cannot get the goal to go thru.

Just came to confirm this.

Writing block is now changed into reading 1 book in the library - but it broke previously perfectly working aspiration, details:

This change came with the update 10/1/2014 but is not added to the log

So how do you complete that darn thing? My S.O. died just after getting married, I want to create Book of Life....

You can't.

Till it's fixed go for Ambrosia (to cook it you need cooking level 10 and Gourmet cooking level 10 plus some ingredients).

In fact since it's not in the patchnotes... Maybe they changed only the text and not the requirement?

Go write 5 yucky boring books in order to get writers block (romance genre). Maybe the block still works?

I too had this problem and had to complete it using the cheat aspirations.complete_current_milestone  No matter what I did I couldn't get past writers block. 

Cheat2win, really? For god's sakes. How about not playing the game at all but just cheat till we die out of boredom?

Ohhhh Ambrosia yummy!! I will have to try this with another Sim since I have the bar through Mixology and can't go through that branch. Right now I don't even have a stove or grill just the fridge and sink because they kept uping my rent so I live on an empty lot just about with one wall and nothing really else. Someone also said to keep writing and that might trigger it but that didn't work either after Sim days of trying ☹️ 

Ohhh I read for days! And then wrote some books, clicked on them but no matter how many times I tried I couldn't even finish reading the books I was writing. Very frustrating :/ I made a new sim and so far she has been able to read books she's written.

Several people have complained that the replacement criteria for the Writer Aspiration of "Read 1 Book at the Library" cannot be fulfilled. Books are read to completion, "reread" option is now appearing, but the books are never credited to the Aspiration, locking some people from completing this for their sims.

"Beat Writer's Block" (which it is replacing) was not apparently bugged.
