[FIXED] Big Happy Family - Be Parent to a Child with 3 friends does not achieve

The achievement is actually "Be Parent to a child with 5 Friends"
Maybe thats the issue? 

Even when they work the "Relationship Status" aspiration objectives are all a bit wonky. Sometimes switching to another household and then switching back has worked for me on this particular issue listed by the OP. Often with these aspirations I will make a good faith effort to achieve them in game, but any more I will just use the cheat code to clear the tier in the all-too-frequent cases when the game doesn't credit properly. It pains me because I don't like to use cheats at all, but sometimes it is the only way to get past stuck aspirations. For what it's worth, there are a widespread list of very common issues related to relationships not advancing correctly or crediting properly. With testing cheats on you can type aspirations.complete_current_milestone and it will advance the tier for you and reward you with the points for the stuck objectives. Other than that there are few workarounds for some of these issues. Hopefully thy will eventually squash all of these bugs and/or change the objectives to something a bit less wonky to complete. 

I was having trouble achieving this as well, but it was achieved when my sim had her third child.

The aspiration thing is a little confusing, but I think its labeled wrong so to keep it so it will clear with first and second aspiration they have two requirements, This should read be parent or grand parent to a child with 3 friends, because not all families have children when they choose the aspiration, this will cause it to clear when your kids have a child with 3 friends.  Also the other one is right be parent to 3 children.  If the Big happy Family is the first aspiration be parent to child with 3 friends should have cleared, but if its the second aspiration, it won't clear until there is another child in the current family or until your child has children, as you are still somewhat parents to the grand children, label grand parents.

What makes me think of this is the fact the other one has a requirement at the top of child or grand child reach the top of their career.  This is how it works

First aspiration child reaches top of career, second aspiration grand child reaches top of career.  Whatever comes first..

I just had the same problem and found this post. I'm not going into the details of the problem since it seems like plenty of folks already have but i did want to share what solved it for me. I found a guide that stated stat you had to adopt a childe and it worked for me :D

You must make your child befriend with five different Sims, befriend with three of your children, and adopt a child.
