[FIXED] Can't save/move because game thinks a Sim is aging up

  1. Are you using mods - No
  2. Are you using custom content (as in clothing and objects) ? No
  3. What is your Operating System (XP, Vista, Win 7, Win 8, Win 8.1) ? Win 7 Pro 64-bit
  4. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game ? Download

I made a cake, put candles on them and then used the action "taste frosting".

This caused my sim to age up. (which I find strange, but ok).

I quit the game without saving (I saved right before the action), went back, and cancelled the action.

I threw the cake away.

Now my game is stuck in the aging process. I can't make my sim leave the lot or move out or anything.

But much more importantly; I can't save my game!! ☹️

Very unfortunate, because this causes an endless loop.

  • The game will no longer occasionally accidentally think that a Sim is in the middle of aging up, which had previously prevented players from traveling or saving during this time.
    • That said, you still (intentionally) can’t travel or save when a Sim really is aging up… happy birthday!

    Fixed in Patch 1.47.49
