I don't use Sims from the gallery nor do I ever use Plopsy in gameplay. Or even sell at any retail locations. Despite this, I started getting the LE and bug alert after making a Sim wearing it enter the CAS system. My male Sim who crafted it gave it to his partner as a proposal ring, so I had them wear it obviously. When I went to customize a wedding outfit for them with them still wearing the crafted jewelry, the LE started to appear. For a while, it was just lagging, freezing, etc. However, I disabled the pack after my game froze and then crashed twice. Especially after one of the times the game froze and crashed was mid-saving. Luckily, after disabling Crystal Creations, I stopped getting the LE and all the seeming side effects from it, including the game crashing, stopped for the most part. Sometimes the game still lags on rare occasions, but it isn't bad at all and that is probably because I have multiple large mods on it, so that comes with the add-ons.
But it isn't just using Sims or households from the gallery or adding Sims to the gallery that I can know of. As I started getting the bug and issue just by having a Sim wearing crafted jewelry enter CAS.

I am starting to get the feeling there are multiple ways to get the LE with crafted jewelry. I think it's been mentioned that crafted gems are not an issue with the LE, but I could've missed a post about that.
I am beyond shocked this bug hasn't gotten a lick of attention by EA or the Sims Team.
I checked briefly and the initial post about this bug was reported back in March. So it has been roughly 4 months and there isn't even an acknowledgement of this LE that affects gameplay to varying extents and risks damaging crucial gameplay elements in their new packs.
If there was an announcement or a laundry list that they were recognizing this bug and looking into it or were doing an e-patch to fix this bug, I'd feel a lot better.
But 4+ months of a bug that is reported to harm gameplay and even possibly corrupt save files, and there is not even a word from EA about it? Especially when you have the Lovestruck expansion coming out where their big thing they brag about it with is using gallery Sims and households, who if they use bugged jewelry can perhaps transfer to your Sims file. Especially if you don't know if they've got crafted jewelry on them.
Like EA, your new pack is in serious jeopardy of being absolutely bugged and broken to dangerous levels on the lone fact that your previous stuff pack has a bug that could damage not only the original Simmer's file, but perhaps others' who take Sims from the gallery. Whether that is simply making gameplay harder/crash the game or even worse destroy the save file entirely.
This is a problem that needs to be solved. If anything, for your new packs you're hoping to get money from with minimal complaints of broken mechanics.

There is a pinned post created a few days ago in this forum asking for more information about certain last exception errors. I hope they could be talking about this one. It was made by an EA person so maybe someone who knows more about LEs can send their game files to the EA staff.
Using the gallery for the new dating app is such a fun idea but if there are sims that could potentially cause stuttering, freezing and crashing then it is sadly just another core gameplay feature that is unusable for me. Once scripting errors infect a save I have heard that they can become unfixable, and a lot of the time you can't notice these rogue scripting errors until suddenly everything stops working.
