Speaking of Robot Vacuums becoming sentient a few lines above, we fixed an issue thatmade the game crash when Cats would sit on the Robot Vacuum. CatonRobot.exe isnow working. Fixed in Patch 1.77.131/1.44 If you're still experiencing this issue, please create a new thread.

@Brycket Do you have to restart the game after this or does it unlock after a while ?

As the game completely crashes, I don't really have to restart it. That being said, the game works afterwards, up until the cat decides to obsess over it again, I suppose. I also don't know which cat obsesses over it.
EDIT: original attachment had errors showing, so I made a separate text document with just the clean LE.

@Brycket Does the Sims queue extend to infinite in any way ?

TO be sure: you did test this without any mods (or just MCCC) ?

I haven't play-tested it without Mods. I deleted and reinstalled all my mods before just to clear it out (before this bug appeared), and that resulted in me having to go through and reconfigure a bunch of settings. I'd rather not risk that again. It's not a gamebreaking bug, or at least, not an unavoidable one. I've resorted to not having the roomba in the house, and it's worked since. I just wanted to put it here in case other people had the same problem.
That being said, I don't think it messes up my queue. My Sims just stop responding to input (idle animation, if no input is given), UI doesn't respond, and the game crashes. Oddly, if a cat wants to ride on the Roomba, that works fine. I suppose it's just the cat deciding to obsess over it that causes the crash.

@Brycket You can create a copy of your game and test on that.

Would be important to know if it happens on a vanilla game and if it's something that needs fixing from EAs' side.

Guess there will be more reports if it's a common issue though

Would that preserve the mods I already have? And how would I do that?

@Brycket You mean the settings of the mods ? Those are usually saved in log files of the mod.

To be on the save side, I would recommend renaming your user folder to say: The Sims 4_Cur, then let the game create a new folder.

Start a new save and test roomba and cat. If it still crashes, please check if you have any lastcrash.txt files. If not, it's probably mod related.

You can then just delete that test folder and remove the _cur from the name of the old folder and you can play in exactly that state you played before.

I just had the same thing happen to me, down to the last exception notice. It happened as the robot vaccuum docked with the cat on top and got off, making the game crash.
I also have mods, though I removed them to try and recreate it with a vanilla save. The cat refused to get back on the vaccuum, even replicating it perfectly over and over. It's hard to say whether its mod related or not, simply because it's so difficult to test (and of course I can't just tell the cat to get on the vaccuum)

This bug seriously drives me crazy. Me and my partner had several hard crashes in a larger household (with mods).
To eliminate the cause I removed all mods and created a new save file for the issue. The exception will still throw when a cat sits either on an already driving roomba or when it's about to start drive around.
Find the lastexception.txt attached. I have a save file with the issue, but it does not allow me to upload it.
