[FIXED] Clutter items not showing up in Build Buy

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Life and Death, For Rent, Growing Together, High School Years, Discover University, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Dream Home Decorator, Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine Out, Home Chef Hustle, Paranormal, Tiny Living, My First Pet, Laundry Day, Movie Hangout, Cool Kitchen, Luxury Party
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to Build Buy, sort all objects by 'Everyday Clutter Kit'
What happens when the bug occurs? Items are missing when I sort by 'Everyday Clutter Kit', as well as when sorting by clutter. It seems that some items don't have a category assigned to them.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see all the items included in the kit when I sort by 'Everyday Clutter Kit'
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Today (14/01), I decided to buy the Everyday Clutter Kit, as well as a few other kits. All turned up in game fine, apart from the Clutter Kit. When I go to sort by the kit, not all of the items appear (see attached image for the items that turn up when sorting by the kit only). Items such as the mugs, phone, headphones etc., are missing when you sort by the kit, as well as them not appearing in any other build buy tab, such as 'Clutter' or 'Decorations'. The only way to access these items is to search them up by name, meaning you need to know the exact name of the item in order to find it. These items only accessible by searching them also are weird in game; you can't use the eyedropper tool on them and they don't seem to have an item category attached to them, such as decoration.

I know this is a minor issue, however it can be frustrating to access these items. I have no idea if this was a result of today's patch or the items have been like this for a while. I have also removed my mods folder and repaired my game as well as reinstalled the kit again, however this issue hasn't gone away.

    I've updated the game, as it required, and when I went into build and buy, I noticed a particular item was missing. When I looked into the whole kit, the everyday clutter kit, several items are missing.

    I downloaded the full set from the gallery, and when I try to copy an item, it won't do it, so it definitely isn't in my game library as it was before the update.

    Is this just my game, or has it happened to anyone else?

    @Steffiesquidge  Are all items missing from Everyday Clutter, or only a few?  Does the EA App think the kit is installed, and does the game think so?  In the App, click Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons, and see whether the kit is on the list.  In-game, open Build/Buy and try to filter for the kit.  If it hasn't loaded, the game will say you don't own it (even if you do).

    What happens when the bug occurs? when looking in the build/buy catalog, some of the items from the base game and other packs have disappeared.
    What do you expect to see? for items from the base game and everyday clutter kit to be tagged again and are able to show up in game

    Please describe the patch or change you made. i only noticed this bug after the most recent patch on 1/14/25

    i don't know how many items are gone across packs or if there's more missing, but the tissue box from base game and like half of the everyday clutter kit are now untagged from all categories. they can only be found now by doing a blank search and scrolling through all the items in the game. even if you filter by pack in search all, the items are no longer tagged.

    I noticed 3 kitchen utensils missing in the catalogue and the only way to get them is to search for it. 

    that’s obviously an issue as I had trouble figuring out the name. 


    this is a BIG issue because I don’t think it’s just Base Game and there may be more. 


    i noticed that everyday clutter is missing items and I know the plant from Pastel pop is missing too!

    I don’t know if that’s it or more.

    I play on PC and this was the January 14, 2025 update

    i just noticed that too, i've been building a new house and i love using the mugs, cellphone with keys and the sticky notepad in almost every house i build but i couln't find it anywhere i thought i was blind xD but then i filtered only the items from the everyday clutter kit and they were not there... i then tried to go to my older builds to see if the items were still there and they are but i cannot copy them or anything... i hope it gets fixed soon

    Unfortunately I don't have a fix but this does seem to be a bug as a result of today's update. 

    I do not use mods/cc because I'm on console and I'm missing the exact same items. 

    I had decorated with those items yesterday and they were in the menu as they should be.

    I came to report the same thing. The three items you've mentioned and I also noticed the it with 'Not so simple pen holder' and 'ceramic cookie jar'. I'm worried there might be more but those were the ones I noticed. Missing from the catalogue and can't be duplicated with the eyedropper. I didn't know the names of items to search them, so I had to find them in styled rooms.

    Missing and hard to find items after the latest update (Januari 14 2025).
    Most of the hard to find clutter items that used to be found under Objects by room/Kid’s room/Clutter can now only be found under Objects by function/ Show all at the very end of the list but only if you also search for one of the items by name first!!!! But there’s also at least one item that I haven’t been able to find at all? Like the career locked kitchen item (round spice rack) It’s still in the game somewhere but I haven’t been able to locate it and I don’t now the name of the item. No name shows up when I put my cursor over it.

    Hard to find items include:
    • Countertop Kitchen Utencils
    • Ceramic Cooki Jar
    • Men’s Cologne
    • Shake Your Holiday Shakers
    • Not So Simple Pen Holder
    • Caress Pitcher
    • Pretty as a Pitcher
    • Pro Quality Knife Set
    • Softy Brand Tissues

    Missing item:
    • round spice rack (unlockable through the culinary career)

    I only checked Base Game items so who nows how much items are missing!!!!
