Sims will no longer be stuck on client's lots after completing a home decorator gig.

As of last night I now have this problem. I have all packs except Journey to Batuu and Spooky. No mods are installed, I removed them before the infant update. My game version is 1.96.365.1030 and I installed Growing Together yesterday. I am an experienced player with Home Decorator. I really enjoy the career, so I was not happy that I fulfilled everything to learn that the gig did not complete, my sim was not paid, nor could my sim go home. At first I thought it was because I did not save often while making lot changes (that has happened before), so I backed out of the save and tried again this time saving often. Nope, the problem still existed. I did notice that both times after the 2nd client approved, that even though it is listed onscreen as approved, that the game did not recognize that the gig had completed. After the 2nd attempt and having saved often during the gig, there was only 1 other option - I cancelled the gig and left without getting paid and took a negative turn on my sim's reputation. After going home, my sim quit his job. He refuses to return to work until he is recognized for his hard work. Attaching 2 pictures, one from each attempt. Another issue showed up during the gig, but that belongs in another thread, so the pictures will show up there as well.
The job was surprisingly still working for me post-HSY patch, but with the Growing Together patch I'm having the same issue now. The job is also not listed as an active career for me, either.
