[FIXED] [ECO] Future Cubes/Clay Spawning in Inventories

    Sims no longer have Clay Blobs, Future Cubes, and/or Sketch Pads spawn infinitely in their Inventory. This felt like grabbing something out of Felix the Cat’s bag… just a never-ending bag of Clay Blobs, Future Cubes, and Sketch Pads… what did it all mean!? We may never know.

    Fixed in Patch 1.68.154/ 1.33

    Few things to note

    1. Sims will still play with clay and future cubes and clay if you have the NAP active. They should no longer be permanent though

    2. Existing future cubes/clay will probably stay in your inventory so you need to delete them.

I've decided to play with Dine Out and own a restaurant: every single time I open it, everyone who's sitting gets up and starts either molding clay, doing sit-ups/push-ups, using the new tablet from the Civil Designer career and it's annoying me!

People, I did something that maybe will help. One of my sims (only one) got stuck with the spawning problem. I ban the NPC voting, remove all the NAPs by cheating, disable the Eco Life Style Pack, play a while and then I make it abe again. Since then, my infected sim was totally normal and I haven't got any new problem. I hope that it will work for some of you, I neither wanted to lose my four generations family save.

    Did you save the game while playing without the pack? And how did you re-enable it?

      IT WORKS!! Disabling the pack and saving the game while the pack is disabled works. Got rid of the issues with my played sims spawning dozens of future cubes and all the other n.a.p.-related issues.

      it's a small sacrifice to make to get rid of the bugs in my sims. Be sure to remove all your families and their personal belongings and save all your lots from Evergreen Harbor because the pack will be reset once you re-enable it!!

    I have two sets of sims that were horribly broken. I disabled the EP using James Turner's method, loaded the broken save, waited an hour (JIC) and saved them again. Re-enabled the EP and checked them out, they're completely fixed.

    Of course by this point I've already disabled ALL NAPs in all 'hoods so that save should no longer be a problem.

    I've since installed simvasion's mod and four or five of Zero's mods that fix different broken components of EL. I'll start another full playthrough of EL and see how it works. (on a new save... JIC)

    I just did this, and so far, it's worked wonders.  My Sims have been normal (for Sims) for a couple of Sim-weeks so far.  A few things to keep in mind if you do try it:

    • Back up your save!  If something goes wrong, better to lose an hour of this than mess up your entire save.
    • Remove all the NAPs from every neighborhood before disabling the Pack.  They will still be active when you re-enable it (I learned this the hard way, and had to go through the process twice.)
    • Move any played families out of Evergreen Harbor - the neighborhood will be gone (and completely reset when you re-enable the Pack).
    • Any build/buy items from the Pack in any households you load will be removed (I played one household while the Pack was disabled - lots of drywall!). Lots that aren't loaded with the Pack disabled seem to be alright though.  I saved everything to the library beforehand.
    • CAS items from the Pack will be removed from any Sim that has them.
    • Eco upgrades on appliances will need to be redone.
    • Make sure you turn off NPC voting in options (I double-checked that I had at least a dozen times).
    • Delete any leftover clay/cubes from inventory (or recycle them!).  My Sims haven't been allowed to own clay since I first saw it, because they are obsessive about it even without added incentive.

    I still get weekly notifications about a NAP "getting the most votes and will be enacted immediately" - but it doesn't show up on the list of active NAPs and I haven't seen any behaviour related to them.  It also took me about a Sim-week to stop being suspicious every time my Sim went to the fridge or barbecue, but I haven't seen a single cake yet.

      Thanks for this! It worked for me. To remove every NAP in every neighbourhood (which was a real pain and I hope I didn't miss any out lmao), disable the pack, save the game with the pack disabled and then re-enable the pack again.

        Right so i tried earlier disabling the pack and getting rid of all the n.a.p.s, saving and re-enabling it again. It's worked for all of my other problematic sims and it seemed to have fixed the problem, but now a week after doing so i have another sim that's started excessively spawning future cubes again. 😐 and i know for a fact there is no tech support n.a.p. because i removed all the n.a.p.s except green initiatives and modern development. I dont want to go through the entire process again it took me all day to get my evergreen harbor back the way it was at first 😭
