My recently created sim married someone that already had 2 children, so I'm definitely seeing weirdness in the family trees. If I check my created sim it only shows his wife and their 3 girls they've had together, but no step-children shown for him at all. However, if I select either of his step-children and look at their family trees it shows my sim and he's listed as their step-father.
Also when I look at the relationships between the children, that's messed up too. When I select any of my sim's 3 girls and look at their family trees, it lists what should be their half-brother and half-sister as just brother and sister. If I select the half-brother or half-sister and see their family trees, it properly lists my sim's 3 girls as their half-sisters.
The Sim Profile also doesn't list proper relationships. If I select my sim and view either of his step children's profiles there is no mention of them being related at all, and it's the same when looking at my sim's profile with either of the step children selected. Then when it comes to the children's relationships in the Sim Profiles, the ones that should say step-brother or step-sister just say brother and sister though maybe that's by design?
By the way I'm playing on the Xbox One which means no mods, and I also don't have a single pack installed which means just the base game. It's not a big deal to me, heck I didn't even realize things were messed up until seeing this topic and then checking my game, though it would be nice to see the game properly acknowledge that all the sims in my family are actually family.
