[FIXED] [FR] Low rent max

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.250.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Vampires, Tiny Living, Realm of Magic, Get Together, My first pet stuff, get to work, get famous, for rent, discover university, cottage living, city living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Purchase a lot to rent out with the for rent expansion and fill vacancy.
What happens when the bug occurs? When the bug occurs, I can only set the rent to a very low number.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to set rent to a higher number for the lot rating and size.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I am having an issue where the rent cap is at 2 simoleons. It’s a medium sized apartment with desirable amenities, decent environment and satisfactory maintenance. My sim was living in the apartment (1 of 3) in the building she owned. I moved her out and planned to rent out the apartment but it has a 2$ per day cap. 

many recommendations to fix it?

    @ldypandora I merged this with the bug report.

    Guess I should also add my own experience with this

    I manually set the rent to 0 while the property owners' GF was living there (he just couldn't get himself to charge her rent). Later on I moved her in with him and after that I could only charge a max rent of 2 from the new tenants.

    I have the For rent pack it was working alright it was saying I could set my rent to $202 a day etc and then the people living there wanted to move out so I got new people to move in and all of a sudden I could only set the rent to $5 a day max and all of the rent caps were $1-$5 a day max

    I also had this issue. The lot was one I got from the gallery. 3 units. Filled the vacancies no problem, set the rent to 150 out of a 200+ max rent. First week goes by, rent comes in, no issues. Then one of the tenants breaks their lease and moves out. I get compensated for this, luckily, but then when I went to re-list it, I couldn't set the rent more than 2 simoleons. I went to the unit, went in bulid mode, deleted and replaced the fridge (Crisponix Budget Dee-Lux) with an upgrade (Crisponix Splendid). When I sent my sim home to fill the vacancy, max rent was over 500.

    ETA: No mods or CC in this save at all, and my old mods folder is currently sitting on the desktop since I removed it many moons ago for updates and I just haven't played with them since. I'd say it's been at least 6 months since I played with mods/cc.

    Exact same problem. I had been renting an apartment out for $406 per day, that tenant left, but now the max rent is $5. The unit is still large, with luxury amenities, fancy environment, and satisfactory maintenance. It's happening every time a Sim leaves - another apartment was being rented at $249, now the max rent is $4, another had been rented at $81, now it's $3. 

    The suggested solution did not work for me, possibly because my landlord does not live in the lot? I had the landlord travel to the lot and tried to enter build mode, I was told this could only be done from the manage world menu. I went to the manage world menu, added new furniture to each of the apartments this happened to, returned to live mode, and still the maximum rent is $5.

    I was playing with a couple mods, but I have removed all of them, deleted the cache, and restarted, and the problem remains.

    I am having this problem as well.  My tenant died.  He went to sleep with fishes 🙂

    Anyways, my max rent was stuck at $4.   I was able to use the workaround to correct the issue.  Hopefully, EA will correct the issue soon.
