[FIXED] [HR] Sims get stuck cooking/eating

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your sim try to cook on a stove, grill, or eat a quick meal
What happens when the bug occurs? SIm gets stuck at the stove or at the table not actually eating. They will just stay sitting or standing but action does not queue
What do you expect to see? My sim finishing cooking and then eating. Or eating the quick meal.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Downloaded new Sims 4 Pack: Horse Ranch

Sims occasionally were stuck staring into space while starting activities such as eating or cooking. It turns out this was a possible side effect of going home from another location via “Ride Home”. Well, no longer! Sims now can enjoy their post-ride meal.

Fixed in Patch 1.99

I have also had this problem (I've Me Too'd it). For the time being, I'm just using the cheat "fillmotive motive_hunger" and letting a few minutes go by. Not exactly how I want to play, but it keeps my sim from dying and also maxing out all needs.

Same issue. Sims can't cook or eat after installing horse range. Because they then die, the expansion is not usable.

I had the same issue but not at first. My Sim successfully cooked and ate three meals and leftovers for the first two days on her home lot in Chestnut Ridge. After that, she couldn't finish cooking several times/meals. She was then able to retrieve a Quick Meal, but could not eat it. (Nor would she put it down to do other queued items, but could be forced to put it down and move on with her life.) Eagerly awaiting a fix so that I can continue to play without cheating the hunger motive...

I started a vanilla test save (German, all packs) and moved a Sim into the premade starter home in CR. He cooked & ate two meals without problems. Then I sent him to the small barbecue park in the town center. Again he cooked & ate two meals. Sent him back home for a quick meal from the fridge. No problems.
Looks like we need more information here.

I also ran into the bug after several days in CR. It doesn't always happen right away, for anyone testing.

Can it be that this a collateral damage of the recent cooking together fix? Does this always happen in households with more than one member?

i got the same prob but i play in another world. it´s just one sim.
so it´s not a CR bug.

Update today (the day after my previous post) I tried repairing my game before playing. Sim was able to eat. First meal of eggs and toast my sim was able to cook and eat as normal. Second meal I had her grab pan de campo leftovers (the first meal she tried to cook when I first saw the glitch) and she is stuck again. Single sim household. Maybe it’s the Pan De Campo?

@ChaoticKittyy For me it works to quickly enter and leave cas! It’s annoying to have to do every time but it’s quicker than leaving the game and loading back in.
