Forum Discussion
Hello.
We would like to collect more information about this.
- Are there certain gallery lots/rooms that have this issue? (Specifically the "One Build Mode item has been removed" message)
- Does someone have a save from before the Infants patch (that also has not been saved after the Infants patch) that has this issue? If so, would you be willing to share it? Instructions here: https://x.ea.com/74420
- 3 years ago@TheSimsDirect I believe this house from the gallery was giving me that one build mode item has been removed message. It's been a while, I moved my sims out of the house, built one myself in another town, and haven't had the issue since but this was the save I posted first to this thread. It was after the update and expansion release, but I believe before the first patch that followed. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L84UlNG2TNUDVkbZxqXd-zPilXJ3WiIJ/view?usp=sharing

Hello @TheSimsDirect
I don't really see much consistency for specific lots I get the error on. I don't really use gallery and I'm not much of a builder so I generally just use premade lots. I've seen the error pop up on empty lots, premade lots in regions I've never traveled to, lots where build is disabled like an NPC's home or the hospital. I've often see it show up after exiting CAS and reloading a lot that had previously loaded without issues. Because of this, I have a feeling the error is tied to an ambient effect or an object spawning somewhere in the region.
I also notice it pop up the most in the evening/night, though this may be confirmation bias because that's when I do the most traveling.
I can provide a save for 3/13, which I believe is prior to the patch. However, I don't recall seeing the error prior to 3/14 so I don't know if this will be helpful or not for whatever you're looking for. I can provide earlier/later saves as well if you'd like.

I've been consistently getting this error since the Infants update after moving a family onto a new lot (EA build - 2-4-2 Wakabamori, turned into a residential lot and lightly edited; previously I was in a Conifer Station apartment and not having the error). Today, when I opened the game, I got the load-in ~introduction/first time install~ post for Growing Together, which I purchased the week it came out. This time when I loaded in, the "items removed" included all of the early purchase bonuses. I restarted the game with all mods and cc disabled, got the error again, and still do not have access to those early purchase bonuses. I bought Growing Together through Steam, and my steam account is linked to my EA account.

I wonder if others did any preorders of packs and have this error. Like the sims is against giving people what they should have because of pre-order or it struggles once updated to think you preordered after that. I know I have done some pre-orders of packs and I get this error. Nothing is missing and it keeps happening when I load into a lot.

I'm having the same issue, and while I don't know the rhyme or reason on which lots, here's my save from March 8th, before the Infants Patch. Warning though, I had Mods in when I saved it, and the sim I was playing used CC, so she's gonna be bald and nekkid if you load straight into her, lol. But in case it helps. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Y0q4dCx3Hfu0EWI4-tqF3VIYs0Lu-wcC?usp=sharing

I am having this issue within 2023 after the infants update. Most likely from the most recent update. I removed mods and played vanilla and the pop up still came up. @TheSimsDirect
- 3 years ago@RemixBeatz Me too! I tought it was funny at first, but now it's getting annoying
