I am not sure why the older thread with so many inputs was closed and this one opened. Why to discard all the effort of every player that posted there? Alien abduction is just as natural as everything else that is coded and available in the game with no cheats.
I am really displeased by this actions and strongly oppose them, but I will post here further, because they are not other players' fault in any way.
I know the developers still deny hybrids, but nevertheless EVERY POSSIBLE HYBRID is available in the game with no cheats, even vampire-alien-mermaid-spellcaster. They will be buggy, yes, but they exist. Thus I will further report about the changes.
There are some, actually, after all the latest patches. I have only one playable hybrid in my game, vampire-alien, so other ones can be affected differently. Now, all alternate forms are discarded automatically. She can't enter vampire dark form, there is no such actions on the list, as if the Dark form was deleted. If I enter CAS, the Dark form is automatically created - it has the same clothes, but different skintone, and, more importantly, DIFFERENT FACE. Very weird. After existing CAS I can now freely enter and discard this Dark form.
Regarding Alien disguise, the option is always here. Choosing it will bug my sim out, her real form becomes Alien disguise, and her "alien form" is created anew and this is absolutely random appearance. Furthermore, if Dark form was present, it is destroyed and the option to enter it vanishes as well.
My sim is looking with a hope at you, developers, don't make her upset ☹️ :D
@aidans1985 Thank you 🙂 By the way, because of all the bugs, it's really hard to edit anything in CAS for her. She was naturally born, i.e. completely created by the game, and what you see is her original appearance, even hair 🙂 I've only added some make-up and changed her clothing, that's all. TS4 sometimes creates amazing sims.
And she is completely playable, she is actually one of my main sims. I just can't use her abilities related to alternate forms, especially Alien disguise, because it converts her original appearance to absolutely random one ☹️ And now even Dark form changes her face - but only in Dark form itself, the original form is safe, so it's not as bad as with Alien disguise.
Most of the hybrids that are born in game are glitchy unfortunately. I think I had ONE that actually functioned with all powers and he was a vampire - alien hybrid with 3 fully editible forms...somehow. His twin brother however was a sad mess stuck in his alien form and a dark form that was the same as alien form and neither could be edited.
From what I've been able to tell from my own experience and what other people have been writing, the main glitchiness stems from the double forms. Aliens, mermaids, and vampires all have two forms that start conflicting with each other. Sure, I can't upgrade my vampire powers on my mermaid/vampire hybrids because the option isn't there but it's not breaking things. Being stuck with no legs because one of them took a bath or went swimming and changed to their non-existant mermaid form is though. Spellcasters, however, don't have a second form and therefore the game doesn't scream in confusion over making an aesthetic/mechanical decision. Haven't had any sims have hybrids with spellcasters yet but I suspect it will be similar to vampires where you can't get into the spells/potion menu and skill tree.
