    Neighborhood Stories will now welcome fewer newborns into the world. They’ve come to realize the amount of care Infants require and don’t want a miss a single precious moment

    Fixed in Patch 1.96.365/1.71

I´m having the same issue, all households with a husband and wife, end up with 6 kids, if I forget to uncheck it. 

I always deactivate the adoption option, after Vlad adopted 7 toddlers when story progression first came out LOL

I also deactivate the move out option, because I don´t want families like the Goths, Landgraabs etc. to move to other houses, or end up as unhoused families.

Afther the first generation, I always end up with lots of single NPC sims, and a few houses with a bunch of siblings living together, and then the story progression kindof dies out, because only sims who live together can get pregnant with it, and I have yet to see any unplayed sims get married and move in together.
