The game launches fine, but I cannot load into any saved games. I cannot resume my last game. I cannot load other saves. I get the same error every time (attachment). If I ignore the error and go to a world and try to load into a played family, the game stays loading indefinitely - I have to end the game from the task menu. (The game doesn't make it past loading screens.)
I play on PC. I just got the most recent update (Sept 18, 2024). I do not use mods or any cc.
I ran a few updates on my computer for drivers. I also repaired my game. Nothing is helping. I keep getting the same error.
So to be sure, you have this error code on every family you play or endless loading on some and the error on others ?
Do you get any lastException files in your doc folder ?
The error box itself doesn't force me to close the game, so I'm able to browse through the worlds and select families. However, the family doesn't ever load.
It's the same error when I try to start up the game and resume or load a save file.
I have 6 lastException files from yesterday
Are you using the off-the-grid lot ? If so, try removing it through build mode and then try again.
This allowed me into my saved games!
As a follow up, why would off-the-grid cause the game save not to load?
