im having this issue as well as a total UI loss after going into build mode, cas, or manage worlds from live mode. i can't fix it so i just have to exit the game
I am also having the same issue. I did the Assistant to the Grim Reaper quest and was in the middle of doing A Call Away. I went to the neighborhood and placed down a haunted house, then when I came back to the household, the UI was completely gone except for the reward pane. But no quests. Tried removing mod folder and doing the work around, starting a new game, nothing.
Wish there was just an event button in the top right that you could toggle on and off instead of a pop up on the left. I hate that it's always there now, don't want to see that icon all the time.
I tried to start the Grimm events but this is how they appear. I've already deleted it and started on a new save but it stays like this! Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!
I have taken my mods out.. deleted local thumbcache, and did all the other things that have been suggested. I even Uninstalled sims and reinstalled it with no luck.. The bar that shows the event task remains to be blank. I have yet to claim the last reward of the week the happiness potion because it doesnt give me an option to claim it. Please fix this issue as there are a ton of other issues with this event it seems already..
Grim Reaper Rewards Challenge. It pops up in the top left hand side of screen but it is blank. It will not show me what challenges I must complete. I got the mail delivered and and I opened I got a pop up in the top left corner where it is suppose to tell me what Challenges I must complete but the boxes are blank. After getting the News Letter to help grim, I should be able to get the Grimmphone. In one of the Screen Shots you can see It's not in my game. I have no Mods or CC in my game. I have attached three screen shots below. As you can see, the boxes are there for the grim rewards challenge but they are completely blank. They do not show me what I need to do or what I have completed. I can't even take part in this challenge. I'm done with this game!
I have tried the fixes about removing Mods and C (I HAVE NONE). Starting a new game, still nothing. I shouldn't have to move folders and rename folders just to be able to play a game I Payed for. I have spend literally hundreds of dollars on every Game, GP, EP, Kit, ect. I own everything "The Sims 4" and it's the only game I play on my computer I am don't with this game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start the reaper rewards event. Save, close the game, and reopen it again.
What happens when the bug occurs? There are no tasks for the event. When I click on the reaper icon, I only see the rewards.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the tasks needed for the event.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

When I started the Reaper Rewards event, I noticed that only one of the 'task' panels was showing up. So, I saved, closed the game, and opened my save file again to see if it would show up. It was worse: now, neither of the task lists are visible. I tried completing the next task I remembered I had to do (Research a plant) and got no notification. The tasks aren't only invisible, but it seems like they're inactive, too.
Hey! So when I re-opened the game to get that picture, the tasks had returned.
I had followed the "solution" from this thread earlier- it didn't do anything the first time I re-opened the game, but it must have done something because the event is working now. Thanks for your help anyways!
My GUI shows the event but doesnt show any tasks, I dont have any mods or anything. i have tried removing my game files and reinstalling but that diddnt work i am still stuck with two blank event lists. I Briefly got it to work on the second list and got a couple rewards by restoring to defult settings but i have tried that again and its not done anything.
mine is the same, i have repaired four times, uninstalled the game then reinstalled and all my mods are gone completely so its not their fault.

I started playing the rewards event last night. I planted the seeds, got the newsletter, got to level 3 cooking and talked to 3 people about ambrosia. I next was going to claim the grimophone since that’s one of the required tasks. So I saved and exited to the main menu to grab the grimophone. Once I went back to my game all the tasks were missing for both “Assistant to the Grim Reaper” and “A Call Away”. I have saved and closed the game multiple times. I have repaired the game in the EA App. I also tried going into other saves, but nothing has worked. Somebody please help! I really want to play this event and get all the rewards! I am playing on Mac I have everything but Journey to Batuu, Outdoor Retreat, Moschino, Fitness, Vintage Glamour, and Spooky installed. Not a single lick of CC in sight. I'm in a completely new save and I'm running version 1.109.185.1230 of the game. Please please please help me!

I have tried many things to try and get this to work, the only thing that worked was removing my mods folder removing another folder, deleting one folder and repairing a game but as soon as I put my mods back in it is broken again, I don't want to play without my mods so I am trying to find a way to fix the issue without having to remove my mods and CC, I understand not being allowed mods like UI Cheats and MCCC but not any mods at all? I also tried disabling the debug issue with BBB and deleting it again and that STILL did nothing, I have tried removing a few mods at a time nothing. I don't want to be required to play with out my mod since the play through I want to do it on uses the mods I have for aspirations and different jobs as well as outfit and furniture if I remove and save the game then I loose all of that stuff. is there a way to fix it without removing all of the mods?
Im not sure what's going on because its not just with the reapers rewards. i threw a birthday party and got no tasks. i have no mods installed.

What happens when the bug occurs? I was mid-way through the tasks for the reaper's rewards event and then saved and exited the game, now I have the two plumbobs in the top-right but when I click on them there are no tasks to complete, it is just blank except for a question mark which just takes me to a pop-up screen which tells me about the event. I managed to get the first 3 rewards before I exited the game.
