[FIXED] SDX Tops Show Up For Incorrect Gender

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Svenska
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Packs: All except for Crystal Creations. Kits: Fashion Street, Carnaval Streetwear, Moonlight Chic, Desert Luxe, Simtimates, Poolside Splash.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In CAS, filter for base game and feminine, look in the tank top category. Do it with a female sim and a male sim.
What happens when the bug occurs? Two tops there are made for the male rig and therefore fit male sims. The tops are available to female sims. These tops already existed for the female rig.
What do you expect to see? Only the items that are made for the female rig showing up for female sims, *especially* when said items already exist for female sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. SDX 2024-05-14

These are made for the male rig and show up for female sims:

These ones fit: Male rig + masculine frame

Not to be confused with these, which are made for the female rig and show up for female sims:

These ones fit:
- Female rig + feminine frame
- Female rig + masculine frame

When it comes to male rig + feminine frame I personally think the one created for the female rig fits better, because the one for the male rig distorts their body, but I'm not sure if that would work, I remember having a problem with that when I worked on some CC myself a while back.

Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title.

    • Male tank tops are no longer observed after selecting Feminine fashion choices for previous SDX assets.

    Fixed in Patch 1.110.265/2.01

  • Several bottoms have this issue as well. None of the speedos shown in the trailer for this drop are tagged masculine, and the one with the rainbow preview swatch is missing a "fashion choice" tag entirely.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open CAS, navigate to Tops > Swimwear with a Female / Feminine Frame sim, or navigate to Tops > Tanks with a Female / Feminine Frame sim.
What happens when the bug occurs? There are non-swimwear Tops flagged as Swimwear and opposite gender-mesh Tops tagged for both Fashion Choices (or missing the RestrictOppositeFrame flag if you prefer).
What do you expect to see? Not this.

Please describe the patch or change you made. I downloaded the most recent SDX. I assume it was released today but I don't really pay attention to SDX releases and News has no entries for it.

Yes, my game is currently modded. No, my modifications aren't causing this. Yes, my CASMenu is a custom work-in-progress.

*_001.jpg - I'm gonna assume these tops aren't meant to be here, at least the three that aren't really swimwear (the two t-shirts can pass).

I like the new briefs for Female / Feminine Frame sims. The shine is cute. At least I think they're new. I've never seen them before.

Also, thanks for not adding the RestrictOpposite flags on these new briefs. Please don't add them later. Cheers!

*_002.jpg - Oh, wait. We're not done. Certain Male-meshed Tops are now flagged for Feminine Fashion (or have had their RestrictOppositeFrame flag removed) alongside their Female-meshed Top counterparts. These weren't here before. I checked.

The idea is to match the FASHION CHOICE flag to the GENDER flag when not using RESTRICTOPPOSITEFRAME / GENDER flags on clothing, not to double up on the Fashion Choice flags. Either use the RestrictOppositeFrame flag (NOT the RestrictOppositeGender flag because that screws with transframe / transgender sims) or match the Fashion Choice flag to the Gender flag.

We don't need any more mismatched meshes randomizing on sims. No more Male-meshed items randomizing onto Female / Feminine Frame sims and vice versa, please. CAS is like my whole shtick, sorry. It irritates me.

P.S.: This was a cursory evaluation. I have not checked through every item / change made by the SDX so their might be more issues.

    Edited for corrections and clarity.

@PyroflasherUgh. Hopefully they rectify this in the official patch that merges it with the game files. I'll check post-patch.

@Pyroflasher While this is a similar issue it's not the same one. What you describe is the tagging for masculine/feminine fashion choice, what I describe above in the thread start is the restriction for opposite frame not being there for certain items. This means that female sims have both the version of these tops that were created for the female 3D rig and the version created for the male 3D rig, while they should only have the ones created for the female rig to show up no matter which fashion tag is picked. I think the issue you describes should have a separate thread, to highlight that it's not the same issue.
