What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all expansion packs except for Growing Together; Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Tiny Living, Dine out, Laundry day, Parenthood, Bowling Night, Kids Room Stuff, Movie Hangout
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I repaired the game, reset back to factory settings and found out my last save file could be the issue as it is 270 MB.
What happens when the bug occurs? I start the game normally, however a few minutes pass and my sims giltch - they stop doing anything, but still moving a bit. Absolutely nothing is clickable and then I try to Exit & Save and every time I get the error message that my system has run out of application memory asking me to force quit the sims which is around 50gb of application memory.
What do you expect to see? My game to not crash and use so much memory
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I've removed them all
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? after Growing Together patch
I have been having this issue since the new patch came out. I just got a brand new MacBook Pro M2 a few months ago and everything was running smoothly. I checked some old threads about bloated save files but I also seem to have the new bug that freezes the game but sims still slightly move. I cannot seem to resolve any of the issues. I am pretty sure something is wrong with my Save files ☹️ Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
