Even when I save them doing something else in the house when I reload their always standing on the driveway outside since the December Patch. Keep in mind this is after saving and quitting the game then upon loading the same households again this happens. This started happening after I updated to the December Patch. Note No mods but I do have some cc christmas clothing and decor. EDIT (crin) - If this happens to you after changing household (even if you just place a house on a different lot) --> By Design - If it happens on re-loading the same lot after shutting down the game --> Bug

We fixed an issue that would cause Sims to appear outside of their home on the sidewalk when players would switch between households via Manage Worlds. Sims should remember their last known position, position themselves there, and wait for player instructions should they wish to re-position their position. Have we hit semantic satiation yet? This has been addressed in Patch 1.24.102 I'm taking feedback

Did you check if your lot still has the correct type ?

I think someone else reported that but I can't seem to find the thread atm.

Could you also start a new game for testing purposes and see if it happens there as well ?

Hi, i'm running the digital edition with outdoor retreat installed, on windows 8. i have like one item of CC downloaded (it's a pair of earrings)
my problem is that whenever I open up a house the whole family is just standing on the street/front porch like they just moved in instead of doing whatever they were doing when I saved… emotions/needs/whims all seem to get saved but nothing else - if sims were on a different lot when i saved, for example. everyone is just standing in a row on the pavement as if they were newly moved in from CAS.
hope this makes sense and someone can tell me how to fix it as it is very annoying, and i don't seem to have any other bugs at all - game is running great.

Go to build mode and click on the little house icon with the i on the bar on top of your screen. That should give you the lot type. If it's just a blue square, then it doesn't have a lot type and you should change it to residental.

normally i have multiple glitches. but for the start i will say that everytime i start my game , my Sims r outside the house... you know like they first move in at this lot. i left them sleep i found them outside.
than i have that with the dishes that they sim to be weard to the other hand... i cand expalin that but i think that happens to other too...
and the last importsnd that breack my nerves... i cant have them clean. in the other familie i had everything went to breack and i had to buy new or fix it. now in the new household nobody almost wand to make clean. 1/10 they respond to clean the dishes. even when they have to their personality that they like to clean up... i must always do it myshelf...
oh... that is the last one i suppose...
my sims stays without to respond my coomands stays ...they are not freeze... they jaust stay (they are singing, looking left rigth) i hope you understand. and so they spend time lot.... i have no mods no cc...

My sims were sleep when I saved my game. When I went to play today, they are outside. Can this be changed? Can they not start where they left off like on sims 3?

Just check my Sims, one was sleeping, one was looking at the stars.
It happens when you start a game for the first time, and when you travel...
