[FIXED] TV not turning off automatically - 4th May patch

The TVs don't seem to be turning off automatically when the sim's action to watch TV is cancelled or the sim autonomously queues a higher priority action. 

The animation of turning off the TV (Sim using remote control) still occurs, despite the TV still running afterwards. 

The TV can be manually switched off and when the sim returns to watch TV, will turn the TV off, then back on.

This also leads to TVs breaking quickly as I'm assuming the chance to break is scaled against a timer when the TV's state is on.

 

Clean install w/ clean save doesn't fix this issue.

No mods/CC/Scripts.

    The bug seems to have been completely fixed as of the 4/12/15 patch.

    I can confirm this too, but I actually appreciate this bug to a degree.  When I take pictures of an area I've designed that includes a TV, I really prefer to take pictures with the TV on, but with the way it worked before, I had to have a sim standing there, actively watching the TV, in order to do that (when I didn't want the sim in the picture).  I actually prefer the behavior now, and you can still easily click on the TV to turn it off if you want it off.  Wasn't this how it worked in TS3 also?

    when my sims put off the television it doesn't go out. I already repaired my game and reset it, but nothing works.

    Noticed in this latest update the TV bug has not been fixed. I really hope this is sorted out soon as it is one of the best improvements of many I noticed in Sims 4

    TVs and audio equipment not turning off although I have seen sims use the hand control to turn off.
