[FIXED] TV not turning off automatically - 4th May patch

The TVs don't seem to be turning off automatically when the sim's action to watch TV is cancelled or the sim autonomously queues a higher priority action. 

The animation of turning off the TV (Sim using remote control) still occurs, despite the TV still running afterwards. 

The TV can be manually switched off and when the sim returns to watch TV, will turn the TV off, then back on.

This also leads to TVs breaking quickly as I'm assuming the chance to break is scaled against a timer when the TV's state is on.

 

Clean install w/ clean save doesn't fix this issue.

No mods/CC/Scripts.

    The bug seems to have been completely fixed as of the 4/12/15 patch.

    I am also experiencing this issue, the Sim carries out the 'turning off' animation but the TV remains on, and has to manually be turned off.

    Hello! I'm having this TV not Bug off, no way to several months. Many upgrades have ever had and was not concerted. I hope that agreeing soon.

    Hi!
    I'm here to report a bug that was not fixed since May this year. It is the bug in which the sims do not turn off the TV, turn off only when the selected interaction is "Watch Current Channel". I and many simmers are complaining of this bug in the forums and nothing worked!
    This bug is present in the game from the May 2015 patch.
    I recorded this video, it is showing the bug.

    I and many other sims like it to be corrected.

    Yeap, still there after the last patch, they play the animation with TV remote but it doesn't actually turns TV off.

    I'm tired of this, EA. From now on I won't buy a single expansion until this will be fixed.

    Omg, finally. After the last patch they finally turn TVs off. Haven't played for 2 months because tired of doing it manually every sim-day.
