[FR] Lease Violation on Property Owner’s Unit

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.250.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but Get to Work, Journey Batuu, Kids Room
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Buy residential rental, move into a unit on lot, set lease violations for trash overload
What happens when the bug occurs? Unit 1 has a visible trash overload but Unit 3 (where my Sims lives) gets the notice for the lease violation. There is no way to post trash overload notice to Unit 1 or Justly Evict.
What do you expect to see? I expect the alert message to state the correct unit with the violation. I expect to be able to collect a lease violation from the correct unit. I expect to Justly Evict.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

In general lots of issues with property owner gameplay. Notices that do not make sense, funds and rent not collected, maintenance events that do not complete.

Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title. Please add pack tags yourself. Thank you.

  • @Whatever8128 Please create one thread per issue. The ones you reported in in the comment field already have threads and it's best if you report them there (see compiled list)

Could you share the exact message you get ? I assume you clicked on the door of Unit 1 to check if you have the option to collect fines ?

@crinrict I’m having the same issue, except I don’t see visible trash on my tenants’ units - though I haven’t visited. When I go to post fine for breaking rules on the mailbox, it lists the property owner and it fails to collect. Then it lowers my unit’s rating. The popup telling me of the rule violation appears every time I load the lot, from traveling or starting the game.

Same issue I'm having too. I have 4 units built in a townhouse style ( I just copied a shell in Tomarang) and for some reason every unit is getting trash overload violations even tho they're not even furnished?

@LunarBritney I made a separate thread for this issue as the trash overload violations are a thing of its own. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/FR-Trashcans-in-open-room-units-break-Trash-Overload-unit-rule/m-p/13601595#M275442

But yes, the landlord can easily get themselves violations by owning a rental lot before moving into it, setting up the tenant agreements and then moving into one of the units with set unit rules and then bam.
