[FR] Painting Progress Bar Freezing in Shares Spaces

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.107.151.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except a few kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Paint on a residential rental lot, in a shared space (preferably outside).
What happens when the bug occurs? The progress bar will freeze and the sims animations will stall.
What do you expect to see? The sims progress bar will not freeze at any point.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Hello,

    I have nearly all the sims packs (except a few kits), once had mods/cc but have since removed them from the mods folder and disabled them in game.

    Beginning about a week ago, my game has become unplayable. I have checked in every day to see if it resolved itself and it hasn't yet. In short, my sims won't complete tasks. I have a sim painting on the easel and the progress bar will get stuck several times. It took my sims from 7am to 10pm to paint a medium sized painting as a level 4 painter. Cued tasks are having a similar issue, where my sim stands there and doesn't begin the task/interaction. Additionally, moodlets will almost indefinitely flicker once they get to 0minutes instead of disappearing.

    Today I uninstalled the sims 4 and then uninstalled the EA Play app (because I was constantly running into issues where it would get stuck in "Preparing Game" or it wouldn't start up, or when it did start up, the screen would be blank). I reinstalled everything and ran into the same issue.

    So I tried a different save file and so far I haven't run into any issues after 10 minutes of gameplay. The difference between the two save files is that the broken one is on a rental lot, a level 4 painter, and downloaded from the gallery (no cc). The one that works is a level 8 painter, a regular lot, and also downloaded from the gallery (no cc).

    @SimizenJ Could you test your level 4 painter on a non-residential not to see if that is giving issues ?

    @crinrict Thank you for the suggestion. I went a community lot (Club Calico) and had no issues. My sim did about 6+ paintings with no issues. I went back to my rental lot, where my sim was able to complete 4 paintings before an event started (NYE) and the progress bar froze. Debugging didn't fix, she would not take on cued actions from that point forward.

    I exited to main menu without saving and tried again, without traveling to a different lot (I thought the event may have triggered the issue because the timing was impeccable). My sim couldn't complete 1 painting on the rental lost, with no active events.

    Exited to main menu without saving again, this time I went to a regular residential lot (Chataeau Frise: Delgato Family). My sims did 6 paintings there with no issue.

    Exited to main menu without saving. This time I went to another rental unit on the same lot. My sim was able to complete 6 paintings in the other unit without any issue. She was experiencing creative burnout so I exited without saving, traveled to the same unit, but this time I kept the easel at my unit and painted at my unit. My sim complete 6 paintings with ease.

    Each time I chose a medium painting, tried all the different style options, and cheated my sims needs.

    @crinrict You're totally right, this is a shared space no my sims own unit since the easel is outside. So the issue seams to specifically impact shared spaces.
    I put the easel inside my sims unit and haven't had issues yet. She's painted about 4 paintings! :D

    @SimizenJ Thanks. I've merged the rest into the report.

    Question: Is painting the only interactions you have issues with ?

    There's already threads for laundry and chess that also doesn't seem to work well but in a different way.

    I haven't noticed with any other activity. My sim hasn't been playing chess or doing laundry. Even with my temporary fix (using the easel inside a rental lot), I occasionally run into the issue where the interaction will not cue.
