[FR] Trashcans in open room units break Trash Overload unit rule

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.105.345.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All DLC
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Build a rental residential, make sure every unit has an open air room and place an outdoor trashcan in them, so the object stays visible and clickable even when you're loaded in a different unit. Make sure there's a property manager to set the unit rules and have trash overload enabled. I also had the recycle lot challenge turned on in all of this, which makes trashcans clickable. After all of that, try loading into random households that live in the units you created.
What happens when the bug occurs? You should begin to get trash overload violations despite having no actual trash piles/dirty appliances, etc..
What do you expect to see? For the game to not freak out and spam me violations when the only object on the entire unit is one trashcan and mailbox.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Unsure

I have also attached some saves with this issue and some screenshots how the layout should be for the bug to happen
The saves (8th save is the first save to have the bug, the other one with many numbers is a totally fresh save with the same lot/build having the same bug) :

  • Yup, this issue is happening to me in my own save. To test further, I loaded both saves you provided and I am getting instant trash violations despite there not being any trash on the lot ☹️

I’m getting so annoyed with this pack. It’s more trouble than it is fun at this point. If you have mods installed, it’ll say you don’t own properties, yet expect you to go and complete maintenance events. I had to install so many things that make my gameplay amazing while trying to get for rent to work.

I have three townhomes in Tomarang and literally every single time I go to do maintenance, I have to charge them each the $600 find or my rating goes down. I don’t feel it’s fair to evict people when they have no garbage. I even upgraded to the automatic indoor trash can, got better outdoor trash cans, put vacuums in the apartments. I mean what else am I supposed to do?

  • I also have a household that keeps being told they have a trash overload violation without any trash or dirty appliances on the lot. I don't play with mods or CC, so I know those are not the source of the glitch. I don't have the same set up as you, but I do have trash cans in my shared spaces, which I suspect may be the cause. Not sure how to resolve this as the trashcan is needed on every lot to prevent an actual trash overload.
