I have seen others on Reddit and Facebook have also had this bug. I’ve shared the link to this post, hopefully someone will report to the right place. It’s definitely a shared experience.

@crinrictI have this with regular human sims as well, but I need to test more. So far, a brand new save made from 11/8/2024 onward where a human sim that lives in the neighborhood has no issue but previous saves made before that date that don't live in the neighborhood and have to get there by traveling do have the issue, regardless of human or vampire or spellcaster or whatever.

there's a workaround: change your sim's outdit from skirt to pants or naked.. It worked for me

I'll confirm I'm also experiencing this same routing issue. Although she has a few other options such as refreshing needs and offering a gift which work fine, my sim has been unable to 'Listen to Whispers' at the tree. She complains of the routing error for that interaction. She's visited on multiple occasions at different times during days and nights. I've given the original post by@strangetownboo a Me Too.

Could you also test a new save for testing purposes to see if that works.

I have had this issue in two separate save files already, both brand new, unmodded saves. I have tried it at different times and have never been able to complete the action. I haven’t completed the quests to unlock the scavenge and refill needs actions, so I haven’t tested those. All I’ve been able to do is “view” the tree.

@strangetownboo It works fine for me so no idea what's going on for you. My Sim has done the quest so I have everything but I didn't have issues even before.

Maybe others that have the same can chime in.

I am also having this issue, although I have yet to test with a different sim. Save has never had mods installed. This sim is a vampire with the bat ability though - could that be connected?
EDIT: @crinrict does your sim live in the neighborhood? Because when I start a new save and place a sim in one of the empty houses and click Listen to Whispers, it works, but if I travel there, I get a route error.

this is happening with two separate sims in two different save files. both spellcasters. had a thought that it might be related to the discovery quests, but haven’t had a chance to test yet.

my sim lives in the lot right beside the guardian tree and i still can’t listen.
