Hello, @CGrant56 so much thanks for your time and effort to check all of my issues even comparing my modified lot to the original one!
1. Yes the main atrium basement has the platform adjusted, but not the basement part where it connects with the basement entrace near the pool. Also, I'm sorry that I forgot to re-add the platform around the garage door opening when I saved and uploaded the lot to the gallery, I deleted it back when I was too annoying seeing the glitch lines in front of the door. The issue appears when there's a platform around the opening, just like what we can see from the attached screenshot in this thread. My current best solution is just don't place a platform around the opening. And you're right, the glitch (near the pool) is bleeding from the rock terrain above outside the house, it's gone when I deleted the rock terrain.
2. I think I'm not sure which pool you've narrowed. I did narrow the indoor pool and it didn't fix it (see: Basement wall.jpg). I also tried to delete the foundation on the balcony, it didn't fix the basement but I think it looked better for the balcony. Since I delete the whole foundation on the balcony, I guess making the indoor pool area the same level as the balcony is a good idea. But another question came up in my mind: how can I lower/delete the foundation just for the indoor pool area and not the hallway? (see: Indoor pool.jpg) The original creator made this lot in 2019 so IIRC there's no platform tool back then and now editing a foundation is kind of pain. When I try to delete the foundation it just deletes the whole floor, and when I try to lower the foundation using arrows the whole house is affected.
3. I forgot to mention that the invisible side floor was there even before I built any platform on the floor below it. For me who often use free cam to either simply looking or capturing screenshot, of course this one is really annoying and disappointing. Is it possible to somehow use something like wood structure debug item and place it using TOOL mod to cover them? I'll try anything to cover it since it really bugged me. Oh and how do I delete the ceiling below the bridge? I tried to create a room below it with the same width as the bridge > remove ceiling > remove the wall, and it didn't work.
Basements are all or nothing. You either have one under the entire structure or you don't. You can have different height foundations on a lot but that can't be connected. Like a house on a raised foundation and a shed in the back yard on a flat foundation. Although, the wall heights on both will be the same. Can't use short and tall walls on the same level.
The pool I narrowed was the upper one in the room with the lounge chairs above the other pool with the windows that show the weird wall thing happening.
I don't use T.O.O.L and never have so I don't know what all its uses are. The only thing I can tell is give it a try and see if it works.
Deleting the ceiling under bridge. I'll go back and take a look at that. You should be able to delete the ceiling in that entire space and it should get the ceilings below both areas where the gap is showing.
Hope this helps.
- 2 years ago@CGrant56 With Maxis giving us news about them fixing bugs, I really hope that they aware of these issues and fix them soon. I still have hope in them as the latest patch eliminates my in-game and CAS lag (low fps in-game still not fixed).
Yeah it's weird that you can eliminate the problem by narrowing the pool but for me there's no difference.
Basically T.O.O.L can move objects anywhere to little details such as using coordinates, but yeah it would take much time as I have many parts that have invisible side floor.
Hmm I still can't manage to delete the ceiling...
