I would like to confirm that after removing the Carefree trait using cheats, my sim actually received the tense '6 out of 7 wild dates' moodlet after the sixth date. I was afraid she would be bugged if I'd use cheats to remove the trait, but it solved the problem for me. Thanks again!

@MissyBojangles Good you found a workaround! I hope they change this in the future so it isn't necessary anymore to remove traits.

My Sim just finished the challenge today and it was quite intense (can only recommend it for self employed Sims without a family, lol).
I noticed that on the last day with the tense moodlet a lot of interactions triggered the moodlet timer to go down faster, like playing the new boardgame and even flirting and interacting with her date! Sure, it reduces tension, but definitely shouldn't affect the challenge timer.
