Still no feedback on this? It's clear I'm not alone in finding this auto delete feature highly annoying. Or is it because of the go-to, knee-*, borderline superstitious response to advise players to delete the localthunbcache if the game so much as has a hiccup. If it's being auto deleted when file size hits 100mb, then it's probably for the best so let's utterly ignore this guy's genuine grievance
You have to understand that the localthumcache can hit 100 mb in my game long before all the sim thumbs are generated. Meaning the game cannot generate needed thumbs. But that won't stop it constantly trying to generate the images, meaning a permanent state of lag continuously attempting and failing as the cache'e maximum files size can hold no more.
Ten years ago, with only two world regions to fill with sims, and the sparsity of Cas items and Build items and all their thumbs, 100 mb might have seemed more than adequate.
But now, with over 80 dlcs for the game, all the Cas and Build items and their thumbs, all the World Regions for more sims and all their plethora of various thumb images, and all the Cas and Build CC with their own thumb images thrown into the mix, 100 mb isn't anywhere near enough files size while playing a single session.
Hello, is anybody out there hearing this?
