Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.62
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All pack including High School Years.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game. It may start off without lag but within the first 5-10 minutes it will begin to lag. I haven’t had this problem as often if I don’t play the household… just enter build mode from map view.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game lags. The sims move glitchy. The sims will stand around and have to be reset sometimes. Panning across the screen is laggy. The cursor and the camera are even laggy.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a smooth running game. No lag. I understand 100% lag free would be difficult on such an old game, but 100% lag all the time is inexcusable. It renders the game unplayable.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
As I mentioned above, the game is unplayable due to the excessive amount of lag. I do own and use all packs because I play on console and don’t have the option to use mods. I just want to come home, sit back, and zone out to my legacy family or some random family for a challenge. The sims 4, as broken of a game as it may be, is my happy place. But as it stands now, I can’t have my single sim on an empty lot, walk to the nearest fishing spot without major lag, that “saving the game” no longer even fixes. I just want to play my game, and while lag is something I’ve dealt with for a long time… to this degree… unacceptable!
That used to work but since the 7/26 patch, that doesn’t even work 90% of the time.
I agree, I've noticed much more lag since installing the high school pack. It makes it difficult to play when everything is moving so slowly across the screen. I also noticed that when I click on something for them to do, they aren't able to complete the action. If I click on a plate of food, they ignore the command and just stand there. Lol Or if I click on the textbook for my sim to do her homework, she does not do it.
