Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start the Tutorial and read in the book that you get.
What happens when the bug occurs? The house has no bookshelf so it ends on the floor. But the sim goes around like reading it. It is then impossible to interact with Computer or bed. The sim immediately cancel actions to use computer or sleep. If the Sim has not slept at least once the Tutorial can not be completed.
What do you expect to see? The book should go back in inventory or on a table when finished reading.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
