[NEEDS INPUT] [GF] Drones getting lost

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Send a drone to record neighborhood footage, 1 out 5 times (not consecutives) will come back. I have purchased 6 so far and that's only with one of my sim profiles, not counting the others.
What happens when the bug occurs? Drone never returns to me or my inventory.
What do you expect to see? The drone will ask what would you like to name your video. once you name the video,(it used to take a couple seconds after that message to return) Now the drone never returns, You can search the whole lot, zoom in and look for it thoroughly, i haven't been able to find it.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Drone becomes lost when you send it out to record neighborhood footage. Can anyone help with this? I have purchased 6 so far. This has happened in different worlds as well as different lots. I also re-named them ( drones)  in hopes that i would be able to find it on build mode from whichever lot I may be.

Yeah, drones will get lost in some zones a lot, like almost every time you send one out at times.  They run down and will set themselves down out in the world rather than returning to the home lot.  So you have to go out looking for them.  And they will be in some strange places too when you find them.  Some may be close to the lot and others are halfway across the zone.

So my advice is to open one of the lots where a drone went missing and tilt your camera point of view so you are looking straight down and start covering the entire zone you are in and search until you find the one you are looking for.  Sometimes it can take a while but you should eventually be able to find it.  Keep in mind that the drones only follow the same paths that sims do so there are places you don't have to worry about looking so concentrate your search along the walking routes.  And they don't go on other lots unless you are visiting that lot and active one there either.

Thanks! yes, i already tried that as well. Maybe is just a glitch that needs to be fixed. Or maybe i should just upgrade the battery on it so it doesn't do this, i bet that's all it is.

It has happened in different neighborhoods which makes me think that the glitch is not specific to location. In was also thinking that maybe that is just a way for you (sim) to upgrade your gadgets, i noticed that you can upgrade the battery life. I don't think the drone is just disappearing; I think that the battery is not long enough to be able to do the "neighborhood footage" so i just have to probably upgrade the battery,. I haven't tried this theory yet, but will do so tonight.
