[NEEDS INPUT] [JA] Sim still considered Skeleton after turning back

I think I have figured out the issue. The game is registering her as a skeleton (she was turned into one, but only for like 2 days). She also can’t change her clothes as that’s not an option for skeletons. I’m not sure how to fix this as I can no longer add or remove buffs to sims. 

*update: I was able to find the relic that turns sim temporarily into an skeleton. After that buff wore off she returned to normal!

 I have the same issue and I don't understand how you fixed from what you said. What do you mean relic? I used the command sims.remove_buff Buff_Skeleton when my sim turned into a skeleton and he turned human again but registers as one and can't change outfit etc. I tried adding the buff again by command and nothing happened and I tried removing it again, nothing. Its been over 24 hours, help please!

ok thank you, but do you know where I can find this relic? I was following my other sim while he turned himself as autonomy was on so I didnt see it until he was changed

I tried that and it did nothing, I've used all the cheats, removed all script mods, done traits.equip_trait Trait_Hidden_Skeleton_ServiceSkeleton and traits.remove_trait Trait_Hidden_Skeleton_ServiceSkeleton and when i equip it turns him into a skeleton and when i remove it changes him back to a sim but it still registers him as a skeleton. This sims.add_buff Buff_Skeleton does nothing and the remove version has no effect either. The relic made no difference even though it said it was active... please help!

I've also tried removing the outfit he was wearing in cas since it doesn't let you remove it, he isn't a skeleton in cas. Didn't change anything. I tried even changing into a plant sim, didnt change anything. Is there any way I can go back to an old save from like a week ago? 

Update: Sort of solved.. I figured out how to go back to an earlier save so thats what I did lmao

I had to wait for the buff to run out naturally. Cheating to remove the buff didn’t work. Try that. If not I don’t know, sorry. 

I know this is sort of a necro from an old post, but I'm going to let you know that this happens if you use the cheat to remove the buff from your Sim.  Although your Sim will appear in his/her normal state, the Sim will still have some of the issues with skeletons.  (Food goes through the Sim, no romantic interactions, no outfit changing, etc.)  

If you have done the cheat and are now stuck in this mode, your best bet is to use the Balampalsoh Death Relic.  If you use a common gem in it, the buff only lasts something like 10 or 12 hours.  After the buff expires on its own, the problem will be solved for the Sim.  You can buydebug the relic pieces, or - if you're like me - you should have a dozen of each part in your inventory from doing excavations hundreds of times, and you can just craft the relic for yourself.

So, note in future: Don't cancel that buff on your Sim just because you don't want to see the Sim as a skeleton.  You just have to deal with it.  🙂 

The developers think the buff is a BLESSING.  I don't know why, since when it expires my Sim always has drained energy.  (And since she has the Never Weary reward trait, normally her energy bar never goes down.)  I view this so-called "blessing" as a curse.  I really don't like the skeleton idles.

I'm having the same issue but it will not allow me to use the relic on the affected Sim. 

Where did you find the relic? I've got the same problem but can't fix it.
