They changed quite a few things when it comes to buff so this might be a design choice.
Marking this as unsure
Thanks for linking that other thread - it could definitely be related. But my Sims do get buffs as normal when not playing Off the Grid. It's only when I turn on the 'Off the Grid' lot trait that suddenly they don't get buffs any more?
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@happeninholly I don't know. Buffs just seem to work differently than before and I don't know which are bugs and which are intended changes
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@happeninholly Did you have this issue on a particular lot only or have you tried multiple ?

I still experienced the same thing whether it was an existing save or one I created to test.
To be specific, for the brand new save, I created a tiny residential lot with great soil, off the grid and home studio, which are the same traits that the lot where I first noticed the bug in my existing save has. Eating fruit or veg gave no buffs as before. When I took away off the grid, the sim got the usual +1 happy buff when he ate an apple.
I thought perhaps it was an interaction with the tiny residential lot, so I then applied the same lot traits to a normal residential lot, but got the same effect.
Perhaps it's an interaction between the lot traits? That'll be my next test!
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@happeninholly yeah, please play around with the lot traits.
