@MzMelonz I struggled with crashing on Xbox Series S. I loved the console too. I had several months where I couldn't play at all after the patch for the release of High school years. It wouldn't stay on for more than a few seconds. I had to wipe my game and start again. So frustrating when other games ran well on it.
But I sometimes go straight to Microsoft Support and they told me it's the processing power to run such a big game. So memory isn't always a factor. They said it's the size. I was lucky I got a rep who knew the game once and he actually spent a whole weekend helping me when I was still on Xbox one. They are so helpful, he kept ringing me back to check how I was getting on.
But I'm managing better now with my careful game management. As I mentioned in #67 I am noticing that since For Rent, it's definitely adding loads of townies even if I'm not visiting Tomarang. I've been testing it and deliberately avoided the world. But it starts to lag anyway and I check Other Households and sure enough there's a load of new Households again. As soon as I delete a load of them my game stops lagging. I don't know if it was the For Rent pack or the patch for it but I haven't had this since Cottage living created an excessive Townies bug.
I'm sure something isn't right with it. So if you're lagging I'd be really interested to know if you are seeing loads of new households in Other Households too. And if so, if you clear some it should help. They're all dressed weirdly too but I reported that separately. It's often grandparents in swimwear with hats and gloves! Oh dear 🤦.
