[OPEN] 'Ask About Day' named as 'Check in on' (no GRO)

It took me a while to figure this out because it's required for some career tasks and social events. I failed a few until I found it by accident. I had searched everywhere looking for it, extremely frustrated.

I'm not too happy with the conversation changes in general as I don't group by context and it makes the Game Option to control that format redundant, since now it groups by context automatically but that may be considered a different problem.

I'm also not happy with the conversation changes. I'm old, I don't use 'check up on' unless there's work being done, or someone is, or is going to be, in trouble. 'Check up on' is too idiomatic. 'Ask about day' is more precise and universal, and just as natural and informal, so I don't understand why the words were changed (especially by presumably experienced coders who would know the change was going to create game-wide problems).

Another thing I've noticed is the special socials for 'Realm of Magic' aren't all on the first conversation selection wheel all the time, like they used to be. The game used to anticipate, correctly, imo, that a spellcaster would want to use all three of these socials with another spellcaster as often as possible. Now, only one or two of the socials are often suggested, the second and third are often buried in 'more choices', and then 'magic', which is too many clicks away.

It's over complicated now and it takes ages to search for the conversation options that I want. The first page still has a load of things that don't apply to my Sim and don't fit her personality. There are too many mischief, mean and flirty interactions and things I never use. It would have made more sense to have a page of general friendly interactions first. I've already complained about repetitive clicking in the new BB mode changes and now I've got them with conversations too. We need a lot less repetitive clicking not much more. Split hobby and career, mean, mischief and flirty interactions out instead and have easily accessible friendly interactions up front. Conversations take ages now and aren't helpful to disabled players who have already asked for less unnecessary clicking several times over the past few months. It took me ages to figure out where Ask About Day had gone and wasn't easy with dexterity problems.

@MoonlitexAngel for me "Check in on" is in the Friendly Interactions and Ask About Day has gone.

@MoonlitexAngel I don't understand your question. It isn't clear to me whether you're asking about the interaction or the Want. If you're asking about the interaction, it changed when I installed the latest update. If you're asking about the Want, it still says Ask About Day. In either case, I haven't changed anything myself. The changes were made by the developers.

It looks like none of the career/social tasks or wants were updated to reflect the new social interactions.

I had to "Discuss local cuisine" today for a gathering at the spice festival and it isn't in the menu now. I looked everywhere and used all of the food related interactions but nothing worked. So it's a larger issue that needs attention. Unfortunately it's not been well implemented and only half done. I'm sure more will be found as time goes on. 

Edit: I don't have Growing Together.

Here's a picture of what we're experiencing to clarify what is happening. I don't have Growing Together either. I'm unsure, if it wasn't a deliberate base game change, why we're suddenly seeing 'Check in with _____'. As you can see, it replaces 'Ask about Day'. If people who have the Growing Together add-on aren't seeing this, then it's a legit bug, I guess?

I also do not have Growing Together, as you can see from my list of packs in the first post. I do have the latest patch, 1.96.365.1030, and that is also shown in my first post.

@MoonlitexAngel  I don't know why your game still has Ask About Day but we didn't do anything special to get Check In On. It was just part of the update. I'm as puzzled as you probably are.
