[OPEN] Cannot talk to plants

I found the only way I could get them to talk to plants was to get their social skill really really low, isolate my sim alone on the lot, and click the social need to auto-solve it. Then I just canceled any attempt to use the computer for social need until they finally chose the plant. It didn't work with or without mods.

Could someone please add the following info

i had the same problem i had 2 fully grown plants and i couldn’t talk to them there wasn’t even the option. what worked for me was just buying a new seed pack and planting one of the seeds in a pot and then the option showed up. makes no sense but hopefully it helps someone!

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have everything except For Rent, Lovestruck, Life & Death, Home Chef Hustle, and Crystal Creations. If relevant, the only kits I have are Country Kitchen, Courtyard Oasis, Everyday Clutter, Bathroom Clutter, Grunge Revival, and Goth Galore. 
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click on a plant to interact with it with Sim's gardening skill at level 4 or higher.
What happens when the bug occurs? "Talk to Plant" does not show up as an option. 
What do you expect to see? "Talk to Plant" should be available as an interaction since my Sim is skilled high enough in gardening.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No, I'm on PlayStation so these are not available to me. 
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Unsure when it started occuring (My game was last updated 10/22/24 but I'm not sure if this was an issue before that that went unnoticed until now). No changes made to system. 

Due to the option "Talk to Plant" being unavailable when interacting with plants (my Sim is a level 7 on gardening currently so this option should be available), I am unable to complete Week 4's Reaper Rewards (quest name Death's Favorite Flower -- you have to talk to plants 3 times; however the interaction will not populate at all for me to complete it even once.)

The only thing that worked for me, was planting a new plant and eventually I got one that worked. No existing plants would work autonomously or manually regardless of my gardening level nor social need. 

Thank you to the people who suggested to buy a new planter / pot and a new pack of seeds.

Doing so seemed to fix the issue temporarily.
