What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, game packs, and stuff packs. All kits except courtyard oasis and industrial loft.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to move to a different house and see the only options are unfurnished. Go into manage worlds and look through the neighborhoods and see there are no sims living in the other houses.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to move to a new house or move sims out of my current household they are unable to purchase a furnished house even though they have plenty of funds. I also noticed that suddenly all the other houses are empty(no sims in any of the neighborhoods). I do have the game set to fill empty houses but it's not working at all. I can also see that if I go to manage worlds and click on an empty house they are fully furnished, but if I try to move someone into the house it will only do the unfurnished option.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to purchase a furnished home and I expect the game to fill in empty houses when that option is turned on.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I am playing a legacy family and all of a sudden when I try to move a child out into their own house they cannot purchase a furnished home. There's also no other sims living in any of the neighborhoods even though I have it set to fill empty houses. This started after the most recent patch. Prior to that as long as I had the funds I could purchase a furnished house, and there were plenty of sims living in the other houses in the neighborhoods.
This sounds like something that happens for me occasionally but it's usually with apartments. So check the lot value in build mode to see if it reflects the value of the furnishings. On non apartment lots, it might be difficult to tell if the number is right but you can delete an object and then replace it with the same exact thing. And see if the lot value changes. If it does, that means the game is not "seeing" the value of the furnishings and that is why it won't let you buy it furnished. By replacing just one item, the game should then see that item is there and then when you try to move it, it should give you the furnished option with a low value. Once you get sims living there though, the value of the furnishings do usually get recognized by the game at some point.

Some of the houses had sims that lived there and have passed. But this is effecting every single house in the game and lots of them have not had any sims living in them.

I cant believe its been 3 years and this issue hasnt been resolved!
Ive tried editing bulldozing and re adding from gallery, tried to visit. Nothing works. Any ideas?
