[OPEN] Can't play peek a boo/read toddler book to infants outside of crib

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50%-99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.305.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get To Work, Get Together, Get Famous, City Living, Seasons, Growing Together, Cottage Living, Cats and Dogs, High School Years, Island Living, Horse Ranch, Dine Out, Spa Day, Vampires, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Realm of Magic, Werewolves, Luxury Party Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Nifty Knitting Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have sim try to play peek a boo or read toddler book to infant outside of crib, instead of doing the selected action, the sim either just stands there and doesn't do anything, or the action is immediately canceled out
What do you expect to see? Sims should be able to play peek a boo or read toddler books to infants outside of their cribs
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Sims that try to read toddler books/play peek a boo with infants outside of their cribs will fail to the selected action, either standing and freezing, or immediately canceling their action. They're able to read to infants/play peek a boo with infants that are inside cribs.

    Yeah, I've tried various households and the same thing always happens. They just end up staring at the toddler and not doing anything, and if you select Read Toddler Book, they'll just stand and stare at the infant while holding a book.

    @crinrictI just tested, and it seems to work fine if the infant is on the playmat. It's only glitched out if the infant is on the floor, and not in a crib or play mat.

    Been playing with 2 adults 1 infant for 2 Sim weeks. "Peek-a-Boo" and Read Toddler Book" are really finicky. The interactions are always available, but if the adult and infant are not perfectly positioned, they just idle until I cancel the action. Too bad because when it works it's cute. 

    I don't remember having this much trouble with peek-a-boo when we first got infants. But, haven't played many household with infants.

    It seems to work best if the infant is confined somewhere and the adult is seated nearby.

    I am having this issue where sim won't respond to the infant peekaboo it will just freeze and it anyone expericing any issue with this?

    Is there a solution to this ? I tried repairing the game nothing is working
