[OPEN] [CoL] Hatchable Eggs spoiling/ getting thrown out with trash (1.107.151)

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When incubating an egg and a sim or stranger sim starts to take out the trash or clean the coop they will clear the egg and throw it away. pretty easy to find. it gets annoying becuase i can try to save them but stranger sims do it as well when visiting or just walking by.
What happens when the bug occurs? When cleaning trash, or the chicken coop and an egg is incubating.
What do you expect to see? My eggs incubate and not get thrown away.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

A previous post said this was fixed but it is not. I dont want to keep having to put the eggs in my inventory then back out and on top of it sometimes i dont notice a random sim deciding to throw away my chicken eggs.

this bug has not been fixed.

i've 2 coops w 1 Rooster and 4 Hens in both.  i have tryed to hatch 1-3 eggs in both coops.  rare that i'm leaving lot bcs of chores and career balancing, not travelling.  it seems at night when hens go inside the coop is when eggs are Spoiled by morning.  i have constant found my sim or Ranch Hand removing the spoiled ones.  the maid doesn't seem to mind them, as i've had him leave for day w a spoiled egg still existing.

i'm on a new save, fresh sim, w all the default sims.  i've not yet tryed a full farm play, bt didn't want it set w my legacy sims either.

the way the "fix" reads is that while traveling is when eggs disappeared.  also, side note, my sim is neat bt duno if this is causation vs correlation.

Agreed, still not fixed. My Sims keep complaining about a messy environment, then throwing out the eggs.

I have this too on Xbox Series X with all content. I've been trying to figure out exactly what was happening with it for a few weeks before switching to a new (non farming) household.

The eggs vanished after a few days sitting there waiting to hatch in the coop. They spoiled after so long too. I did have 2 that eventually hatched though after several days and despite being Spoiled. I started just leaving them there to see what happened but the majority of them just vanished. I saw the hen taking care of them and sitting there for days then going back to them before they just vanished.

I do hope this is fixed before I play a farming household again.

This is still happening.

You put the egg in the coop to incubate, and it will show a timer that it will take two days.

After about a day, the egg will have spoiled.

At this point, if you let your Sim do any cleaning action on the lot and haven't locked the gate to keep them away from the coop, they will follow it up by queuing "throw away" on the spoiled egg.

...and no matter how many times you try to cancel it, it immediately reappears. The action is uncancelable until after your Sim turns the egg to trash.

I want to hatch eggs in my chicken coop but they always spoil and, inevitably, one of the household members comes by and throws them away. I've been trying to prevent them from doing so, but it's easy to miss and sometimes cancelling the action doesn't work! I've tried over and over but I keep running out of hatchable eggs, and it's especially frustrating because all of my chickens are elders now so I'm running out of time. Is there anything that can be done about this?

@Born4Randomness  The only workaround at the moment is to clean the coop, put down plenty of food, put the egg(s) in to incubate and then remove all access to it until the eggs are ready to hatch. If you have a fence, lock the gate for all sims. If you don’t have a fence, add one. The eggs can still hatch after spoiling as long as your sims are unable to access them to throw them out. The rest of your chickens may be mad about the dirty coop by then, depending on how many you have, but at least you’ll have chicks.

I just want to inform that this problem is also occuring on the playstation 4, with all updates to date.

A temporal solution seems to be to put your chicken coop in the houshold inventory. This is how I managed to hatch one egg. But after that I lost all the other hatchable eggs, including a golden egg, which I consider quite a bummer.
