[OPEN] Controlled Sims pulling out portable computers at libraries

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.65.77.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Visit a community lot assigned as a library.
What happens when the bug occurs? Your Sim occasionally pulls out a FreeRoam Portable Computing Device and uses it while visiting a library and while they are autonomous, even if there aren't such a computer in their inventory. When they are done using it, it simply disappears.
What do you expect to see? Your Sim not pulling out a portable computer from nowhere.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Pretty sure it began happening after installing Discover University.

It usually also affects other non-controlled Sims visiting the library.

    Still occuring with Cottage Living update. Trying to talk to sims about Strangerville and all townies and my sim keeps cancelling interactions to run across the the picnic tables and use the portable laptops.

    This happens on PS5 also. My played sim kept running out of the library to use a portable computer she doesn't own.

    I’d completely forgotten this was a thing because I had a mod installed that blocked it, but recently pulled all mods out while testing a different problem and it’s still happening and still annoying. My Sim kept running away from the conversation I was trying to make them have in order to pull a laptop they couldn’t afford  out of thin air.

    I've never seen this happen before until just recently so it must have been reintroduced with one of the newer patches or DCLs. All of a sudden, my Sims are randomly pulling laptops out of their back pockets and running across the yard to picnic tables to use them. This is especially annoying in Strangerville when I want them to focus on other things.
