[OPEN] Employees quit for no reason (available for rehire)

EDIT (Crin): There's two issues. If the Sims still exist in your world, please post here. If they don't, try this: [WORKAROUND] Dine Out employees not carrying over from shift to shift

Hi,

I posted yesterday, and I am aware the bugs I have discovered were added to a compiled bug list. I have just looked through the compiled bug list and could not find anything relevant to this bug.

I personally feel this is a large bug, and quite a nuisance. I own two restaurants. I am only currently working on one, as the other has five star and top staff. I will quite often load the save, after playing another save game.

Upon reloading, all the staff I have hired are unemployed/fired (due to no fault of my own). I then have to rehire Sims, and I often cannot get the same Sim, that I have trained specifically for a job (i.e. John the Chef). John the Chef is an option for host, but not a chef, his original role and so forth.

I'm sorry if this is confusing and doesn't make an overly large amount of sense!

Kind Regards.

I'm not using mods or any cc. They still exist in my world, and can be rehired, just not always to their previous position in the restaurant.

Willing to share your save game ?

If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves, upload to mediafire or dropbox and PM me the link.

I am also having this problem. I'm using a restaurant created by Maxis. The only mods I use are poses. It is very frustrating to train (and pay for training), promote the level 4 an entire staff and then just lose them (even if they were "neutral" in relation to job satisfaction, the day before). The first time this happened, I lost the whole team (2 heads, 2 waiters and hosts) the same day ... all with training courses and promotions at level 4 and "neutral" with respect to satisfaction. The second time, I had bought "Animated Race" with Benefits points and simply, my hostess came not work and had to close the restaurant (even hired another host before closing the restaurant, but because of lack of his experience, did not yield to keep the restaurant open with all those sims waiting to be served) ... the next day, all the rest of my team disappeared from my list of employees (except the host that I had just hired to replace the previous one). The worst is that these NPCs disappear from the list of employees available and the world too ... the first time, only my hostess reappeared as an employee available for hire, but as a waitress.                                            I'm thinking of putting my sims (following the tutorial indicated by you) and stop using the NPCs! I used Google to translate my text ... please forgive me if you have any error!

  • If it makes you feel better, you aren't the only one. I had this issue too (crinrict has already looked into it). You aren't alone!

The worst part is, even if you can get them for the same position again, they actually lose their skill. So even if you've trained them up to level 10, once you rehire, they fall back down to the level 2-3 range.

Are they available in your game still ? If not, they might have been culled which is a different issue than this one.

Hi, crinrict! I appreciate your attention! No ... they were no longer available in the Family Management / groups in "non Played" and appeared not as "employees available for hiring". But even if they were culled, it is a serious error!  We'll be training employees forever and never be sure that all staff attend to work the next day? In my opinion, this complicates the positive evolution restaurant. In my case, I came to stay at level 5 of the restaurant rating and return to the level of 4 stars, because these two events! Anyway, now I follow the tutorial instructions indicated by you, and now I hired my own sims ... I hope they do not fail to report to work and disappear from the world as well.  Although it is a different matter of this case, I appreciate your attention again!
