[OPEN] Fear of Horses topic conversation appears in game without Horse Ranch

Yes, yes, latest patch as of August 5, don't have Horse Ranch at all, doubt anything else matters. My Sim has picked up the Fear of Death trait because, I dunno, he just did. Now, under Friendly -> Deep Thoughts he has "Discuss Fear of Horses". Horses?! You mean the things that shouldn't exist without an expansion I haven't bought? The trait is fear of DEATH, not fear of Horses! (Maybe he's afraid of the Grim Reaper's horse?)

This reminds me of the still-not-fixed bug where NOT having the Growing Together pack replaces many dialogue options with Growing Together versions, even when they're wholly inapplicable.

PS. It's apparently not consistent - later on, he had "Discuss Fears" as a topic without any mention of Horses (he has not picked up a second Fear). Not sure what would have changed it.

EDIT: Sim keeps swapping between the two options. So far, haven't noticed a pattern.

For the record, this is still a thing. "Fear of Horses" topic when my Sim has a fear of death. In fact, my Sim lost his fear of death, regained it, and has "Fear of Horses" again. No changes to my setup.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Discover University, Island Living, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, Get Together, Get to Work, Werewolves, Vampires, Spa Day, Moschino Stuff, Vintage Glamour, Movie Hangout, Perfect Patio, and, now this is important, NOT Horse Ranch
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Let a Sim get the Fear of Death via gameplay. Click on another Sim with that Sim active and check Friendly -> Deep Thoughts
What happens when the bug occurs? "Discuss Fear of Horses" appears as a conversation topic. (For the record, when this doesn't appear, I simply see "Discuss Fears". I never see...)
What do you expect to see? "Discuss Fear of Death"
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, but I was able to easily replicate this after turning mods off.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? After the August 3 patch - if it was in the game after the original Horse Ranch patch, I did not notice.

    The bug template is currently working on/off but it helps if you are not prompted for the template while editing, please answer the questions anyways.

    Okay... the forum didn't give me the auto-filled text when I created the topic, but as I mentioned, I really doubt anything about my setup matters except being on the latest patch and Horse Ranch not being installed. I was able to replicate this by starting a new file with mods off, using traits.equip_trait trait_fears_death to force the fear onto my Sim, and then striking up a conversation with the first rando to pass the house.

    How often does the bug occur? First time I'm noticing it, my sim has fear of death and she says she has fear of horses. Maybe it only occurs with sims who have fear of death.

    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Cottage Living, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Dine Out, Vampires, Jungle Adventure, StrangerVille, Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout, Backyard Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Laundry Day, Nifty Knitting, Home Chef Hustle, Desert Luxe Kit, Holiday Celebration Pack 

    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play without Horse Ranch DLC with a sim who has a fear of death
    What happens when the bug occurs? When my sim is active, I click on another sim to chat, and in the chat options, I get "discuter de sa peur des chevaux" which means in english "talk about my fear of horses", but I don't have Horse Ranch DLC!
    What do you expect to see? I expect to see "talk about my fear of death"
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No, I have remove all mods a long time ago
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? I noticed this bug when I played with this specific sim who has a fear of death.  I don't remember when was the last time I played with another sim with the same fear, so I don't really know when the change occured. It must be quite new, though.

    If my sim talks about her fear of horses to somebody, she just chats, and the option to talk about it is still there.

    I'm having this too, since the release of Horse Ranch.

    I don't have Horse Ranch.

    It doesn't always happen when sims have fear of death. Right now my sim who has both fear of death and fear of fire has the bug, my sim who has only fear of death doesn't, and my sim who has only fear of fire doesn't.

    I thought it was an issue with the one mod I have installed (Home Regions by Kuttoe) because at first when I took out the mod, the bug went away. But given other people's reports here, it seems to happen without mods as well.

    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? NONE basegame only on my 2nd account, choirmaster
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? play the game for a while basegame only no mods
    What happens when the bug occurs? your sim suddenly develops fears - and a LOT of fears - and get the option to 'discuss fear of horses' but not the fear they actually have.
    What do you expect to see? I expect to not see fears relating to gamepacks I don't own
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    So I made a new account with ONLY basegame, no mods, to test a new challenge I'm working on, and my sim has developed some fears (mainly, fear of death) but is unable to discuss his fears of death, only fear of horses which if I'm not mistaken shouldn't even BE in basegame. Please fix this so my basegame sims can discuss their fears properly. Thanks!
