[ARCHIVED] [GRO] Mental Fog Moodlet reverts when not done in full

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? everything except: - journey to batuu - crystal creations - spooky stuff - backyard stuff - nifty knitting
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim become dazed from work and try to jog/create/sleep to lessen it
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims becomes dazed from work. I tried to make them jog/sing/dance/watch TV/sleep and the moodlet time deducts as normal (e.g. from 15 hours down to 9 hours), however, as soon as the activity is stopped, the timer goes back up by a couple of hours (e.g. from 9 hours back up to 13 hours). If I can manage to get them to do the activity non-stop until the timer is finished, it's fine and the moodlet disappears. However, that's difficult to do, even sleeping. My sim was even jogging and the moodlet had the little green arrows to show it was going down and then as soon as she stopped, there was a notification to say she had burned out, so the moodlet changed to burned out. (I'm doing the making money play scenario if that is relevant.)
What do you expect to see? For the moodlet time to stay deducted after a relaxing/creative/energetic activity.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

  • I’ve noticed the same ever since the new update, but only one of my Sims is experiencing it and he doesn’t even work… He just randomly gets the Mental Fog moodlet and it won’t go away until it turns into a full burnout and only then I’m able to make my Sim relax and effectively make it go away. I make him meditate and it helps, but as soon as he’s done meditating - with ~15h left on the moodlet - the latter goes back to 22/23h left. I hate it

  • I'm also having problems with constant mental fog. I have every pack and zero mods. Lately I've been getting mental fog on a daily basis. I recently started the Scientist career, so I thought it must just be particularly taxing, but I was getting it every single day I went to work, and ended up taking vacation days every other day. I just finished a vacation day in which I did nothing whatsoever mental, and even verified before i went to bed that the mental fog was gone, but then it seems to have come back while I slept. Either that or as I ate breakfast and listened to music, because those are the only other things I've done. It's going to take me forever to get through this career at this rate, and since I'm trying to take every single career all the way through, that's a big problem if it continues.
