[OPEN] [GRO] No cross-pack Self Discovery traits

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.305.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game and try to earn the Rancher and Horse lover traits through gameplay.
What happens when the bug occurs? No Self discovery trait pop up happen for both new trait from Horse Ranch EP.
What do you expect to see? That both traits Rancher and Horse lover be earn like any other traits as a Self Discovery trait.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I do not know if it was designed like this, because Self Discovery trait came with GT... but would it not make sense to get those while doing ranch stuff or horse stuff, just like you can get the cat lover or dog lover traits... I would expect being able to win traits from packs going forward... Could someone tell me if this is a bug or if it even happen somebody? I have been heavily trying but nothing.

    With the latest patch, they do affect Social Compatibility now.

    Keeping it up the date.

    As The Sims Forums have moved since then, the collection thread is now located here instead.

    2 new Life & Death traits have self-discovery moments. The only trait that doesn't have one is Macabre.

    Horse Lover trait now affects social compatibility. Rancher trait still doesn't, but it does affect attraction.

    So, at the current state, these traits don't have self-discovery moments:

    • Horse Lover
    • Rancher
    • Child of the Village
    • Practice Makes Perfect
    • Macabre

    Thanks so much for keeping this up to date! I am particularly shocked by the lack of discovery moments for macabre sims? There are so many instances in the L&D pack that would have made great sense for it. Moments like completing a tarot collection, doing paid for tarot readings, visiting the festivals with the pack or the anonymous meetings, just off the top of my head to name a few. I hope they add the ones they forgot into these systems.
